Got these Sunday School Notes from a Church I was invited to fellowship with.
Truly wonderful fellowship I enjoyed there. I'm sharing this for those who may need the materials for personal study or as materials for sermons. Enjoy

Creative Word Life Foundation Church (CWLFC)
Sunday School Topic: Discipleship 30th June 2013
Text: John 8:30-32
Memory Verse: Matt 28:19 Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, (CEV)

A disciple is a committed follower of a leader or teacher.
Discipleship is the process of making or becoming disciples.
The ministry of Jesus was centered on making men like Himself through discipleship. His teachings, miracles, healings, death, resurrection and ascension were all geared towards making men like him.
Jesus never preached on being “born again” In the third chapter of John, He talked to Nicodemus about the spiritual birth compared to the natural birth, but He never taught or preached to the people about being “born again.”
Jesus said that we are to make disciples, followers of Christ. When we ask people to accept Jesus as their Savior, we need to teach them that this is a total commitment of one’s life to the Lord. It means becoming a disciple of Jesus.

Jesus’ attitude toward evangelism is much different than that of most Christians. Jesus is more concerned with the quality of ministry than the quantity.
People often say that if you know the truth, the truth will set you free. That is not correct. More correctly, Jesus says that when you continue in the Word, then you will know the truth, and the truth you know sets you free. Jesus knew that only those who became disciples would truly become free. (John 8:30-32)

Importance of discipleship includes:
1. Discipleship positions us for our prosperity, e.g.:
Abraham and Lot: Gen 12:1-5; Gen 13:1, 2, 5
2. Empowers and equips men for service and promotion, e.g.:
David and his mighty men: 1 Sam 22:1-2; 2 Sam 23:7-21
3. Prepares men for continuity in leadership and ministry, e.g.;
Elijah and Elisha: 2 Kings 3:11; 1 Kings 19:16-21
Moses and Joshua: Ex 24:13; Ex 33:11; 18, 19, 22, 23; Deut 34:9; Josh 1:1-5
4. It is God’s earnest desire for all men to be like Christ:
Eph 4:12, 13, 15; Rom 8:29; Rom12:2; Eph 4:23; Phill 2:5
Conclusion
What we ought to be preaching is that God calls us into discipleship, and it begins with making a commitment to the Lord. If we understood that and acted on it, we would have much greater success evangelizing the world.

Sunday School Topic: Manifestation Of The Sons Of God. 8th July 2013
Text: Col 1:25-28
Memory Verse: Rom 8:19 For all creation, gazing eagerly as if with outstretched neck, is waiting and longing to see the manifestation of the sons of God. (Weymouth)

According to the first chapter of Genesis, God made man in His own image, possessing His nature and characteristics. A look around the world today expresses man’s dominance and control over the physical earth. There is however much ground to cover in dominating the earth spiritually.
Man ought to function as a Son of God, just as Christ did when He walked on earth. His attitude towards men, circumstances, nature and demons is an example for all men to follow. Christ unveiled the true nature of Man which was hidden by ages of unbelief, sin, and the dominance of wrong teachings and philosophy of men.

As Sons of God, we should emulate Christ in revealing the true nature of the Sons of God, which is the same as the nature of God.
We manifest God’s nature through the following:

• Love: 1 Jn 4:7. God is Love and He acts based on His everlasting love. Our nature should reflect His nature. We love because God loves.

• Power: Gen 1:28; Matt 28:19; Luke 10:19. God gave man power to have dominion over all the earth, and over every living thing upon the earth. As we function in Christ’s authority, we are able to rule over all circumstances, demons and conditions.

• Fellowship: 1 Cor 1:9; 1 Jn 1:3. God has fellowship in Heaven, and so also are the Sons of God required to have fellowship on earth. We are now in God’s family. It is no longer just a Trinity. It is Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and Church (which is the body of Christ).
Conclusion

As we manifest the nature of God on earth, we bring Heaven to earth and we bring all things under the dominion of the Resurrection. For as Christ is the first begotten from the dead, so also have we been raised to newness of life. Walk therefore in this revelation and dominate your world.

Sunday School Topic: Love. 14th July 2013
Text: John 13:34-35
Memory Verse: Rom 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. NKJV

Love to both God and man is fundamental to true religion, whether as expressed in the Old Testament or the New Testament. Jesus Himself declared that all the law and the prophets hang upon love (Matt 22:40; Mark 12:28-34). Paul, in his matchless ode on love (1 Cor 13), makes it the greatest of the graces of the Christian life-greater than speaking with tongues, or the gift of prophecy, or the possession of a faith of superior excellence; for without love all these gifts and graces, desirable and useful as they are in themselves, are as nothing, certainly of no permanent value in the sight of God.

Not that either Jesus or Paul underestimates the faith from which all the graces proceed, for this grace is recognized as fundamental in all God's dealings with man and man's dealings with God (John 6:28 f; Heb 11:6); but both alike count that faith as but idle and worthless belief that does not manifest itself in love to both God and man. As love is the highest expression of God and His relation to mankind, so it must be the highest expression of man's relation to his Maker and to his fellow-man.

Love activates faith (Gal 5:6) and we are commanded to Love God (Deut 6:4,5; 10:12; 11:1; Mt 22:37), our neighbors (Mt 22:39), strangers (Dt 10:19), our enemies (Mt 5:44; Lk 6:27,35) and fellow saints (Eph 1:15; 1Pet 3:cool
We can only change the world through love and not through condemnation because love does not count evil but covers the all sin (Prov 10:12; 17:9). A heart of love will draw favor from God and men.
As God’s ambassadors in reconciling the world to Himself, our job is to provide every man perfect, holy and righteous in Him, and this can only be accomplished through acts of love.

CONCLUSION
Begin to share the love of God that is shed abroad in your heart. Love in deed, not just in words. Let your neighbors, friends, family and even your enemies know that you love them in a new and refreshing way from today.
