Recently the Lagos State govt promised Cable Cars that are to be completed in 2015 (an election year).
Are Nigerians still so gullible?
The Sunburn Yatch is gone and no where to be found.
Lekki Airport will be operational by 2012 - is it?
FG promises 20000mw by 2011, sorry 2012, no December 2013. Na true?
Please where is the light rail that was to be ready in June?
Are you one of the gullible?

Agreed that various levels of government have promised and failed but to totally dismiss the light rail project as one of such failed projects is mischievous at best.

below are the pictures of the progress made so far. The project might have missed the June deadline but I think we'd both agree that significant progress has been made.

Mile 2 and the National Theatre terminuses (All pictures courtesy of Tbite (SSC)).

NB: The pictures are meant to put things in perspective and not for "praise singing" purposes.. grin grin

The reason for my recent rant on Afam and Seun. Some jobless folks and political hacks whose state governors are TOTALLY useless and dysfunctional just come here everyday making Noise about Fashola and SW politics. Thats why Im saying, SEUN is a bastard!

Do you think money is simply plucked from trees?
Do you know the kind of effect
Boko haram
Niger delta militants
Plateau crisis
Massive corruption at the centre.

Is having on the investment suitability of the country.
Heck ,the oil is in the Niger delta but the critical investments are flowing to the SW .
That is a totally marginalised SW without any voice at the centre.
Just like the Lagos badagry expressway ,the fact that he even attempted this project is enough to win praise from his people.
The Yorubas
We know progress when we see one .
90 % of this project consist of foreign component .
For ACN in lagos state to consistently run a sound budget for close to 16 years is a miracle last seen in the western region of nigeria .
Even if it takes 2 yrs extra to complete, his people are ready to wait because the benefit of this project ,outweigh its cost.
BY THE WAY ,A LESSON FOR YOU AND PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO ARE HUNG ON DATE RATHER THAN APPRECIATING THE SUBSTANCE OF THE EFFORT OF THE GOVERNOR , THE CHALLENGES POSED BY THE STATE'S GALLOPING POPULATION AND THE COMPETING NEEDS OF THE STATE.
GET A CIVIC EDUCATION .

IS IT NOT BETTER TO HAVE A PRACTICAL PROJECT THAN TO WAIT FOR A WHITE ELEPHANT OR NO PROJECT AT ALL.
do not worry about Lagos, SOUTHWEST PROGRESSIVES HAVE THAT COVERED.
WORRY ABOUT ABUJA THAT IS MORTGAGING YOUR FUTURE.

If those are indeed the progress made in the power sector, then I'm more than glad.

Double faced goon. For Fashola, money is not plucked from the trees while for Jonathan, money is not only plucked from trees but also picked from the ground.

Did I hear you say effect of Boko haram? How much negative effect does it have on Lagos compared to its effect on the Federal government?" almost 1 trillion naira was budgeted for security by the Federal govt. this year. Just imagine what half of that would do in terms of infrastructure if GEJ didn't have to deal with the Boko haramites.

A soliloquy. Google the meaning before you reply.
Three years ago, I hoped we would have a light rail track - not a system, just a track - linking one station to another. Not even a subway train but an above ground light rail.

However, in my part of the world, buying cars from Korea are called an 'achievement' and an 'innovation'.
https://www.nairaland.com/2686072/kai-lastma-officials-drive-branded

Even worse the person who failed to deliver a light rail system in 8 years has been nominated as a federal minister.

Mediocrity. Low standards. The world leaves you behind.
