if you are ready to buy; When the ship berths, if you have any doubt, you follow me to the port, please don't give me your money yet. Next we agree on whose agent will clear it (yours or mine). If it is yours, then you would have to pay for the car. I hand you over the documents (bill lading). However, if it is my agent, then off course you won't pay immediately but have to show satisfactory prove that you are going to buy. I would then clear the car park it in your house and collect my money instantly.

Those Lebanese you buy from at Cotonu, do they clear the cars for you? People could be so naive, they go there and buy cars, pay agents to bring the cars in (which is the same thing as clearing), but can not do the same here in Nigeria because I am not an Arab man. Now let me tell you, that is the only reason why cars seem to be cheaper at Cotonu. You are buying without the cost of clearing and dealers profit; direct from importers. This is not 419 or what ever you call it. On a lighter side, person way buy rice for cups and person way buy for bag no fit be the same price!
