Some people believe that there is a big difference between preaching and teaching the word of God. But how do one differentiate them. Someone will say that man of God is a good preacher or teacher. I don't seems to understand both concept. Are there characteristics to differentiate them or are they the same. Are they used interchangeably

Matt 9:35 "And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people."

Here we can see in the ministry of Jesus the distinction between Preaching and Teaching.

Preaching is a divinely inspired messages for encouragement, reproof, instruction, correction, and warning.

Teaching on the other hand involves expounding (i.e bringing clearity and understanding) to a subject matter so that the people can be built up in the knowledge of God.
