THE WEAPON OF THANKSGIVING II

MEMORY VERSE: Exodus 15:11 “Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?

Praise is a powerful tool for bringing about change in your life. If you know how to use the weapon of praise, you will be able to come out of any situation unscathed.

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

As priests, we all have altars upon which sacrifices have to be made. These sacrifices have to be pleasing to God or they will not be accepted. In the Old Testament, sacrifices were of animals but in the New, Heb 13:15 tells us what we are to sacrifices.

Heb 13:15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

When your praise pleases God there is nothing He cannot give to you. Herod respected John the Baptist and was loath to kill him. However, when Herodias’ daughter pleased him with her dance, he swore to give her half of his kingdom. When she demanded for John's head, he had no choice but to give it to her.

When we offer sacrifices which are pleasing to God, He becomes fearful and begins to do terrible things. He passes judgement on our enemies and on all who have despised us (2 Sam 6:23). He also passes judgment on situations in our lives which do not glorify His name.

PRAYER: thank you my Father for passing judgment on that health condition. Thank You for delivering from the hand of the wicked ones. Thank you for the divine happenings which will be evident for the world to see.
