Enugu State is as unsafe as any state in the South East. In the South West we hardly experience insecurity like kidnapping. The only time it was reported in Osun State, when the Speaker's wife was kidnapped, it was Igbo boys that kidnapped her. They were arrested in Ogun State by a local vigilantee group and she was released.
While in the South West, I saw highly placed people walking freely without escort. I have seen the former VC of Osun State University, Prof. Sola Akinrinade driving himself. Just last week I saw the elder sister of Governor Segun Mimiko of Ondo State, Prof. Joke Bestman walking freely in Ile-Ife. Can this happen in the South East where a VC with security was kidnapped?

The GDP of Oyo for 2012 is higher than that of any state in the SE. The GDP of Osun is the same with Imo and Anambra which are the highest in the SE (see below). These are the latest figures from a credible agency and not that 2010 GDP post that has been recycled over and over.

From the report I have for Q1 2013, Ogun State has a higher GDP with the highest in the SE which means the three SW states of Lagos, Oyo and Ogun have higher GDPs than that of any state in the SE and if Osun State were in the SE, its GDP for Q1 2013 will be the second highest

ilugunboy: Outside Enugu..the state capital...where else do we get to know...Nnsuka? That is a dead town surviving on the University.


Name other places...in Enugu the way you can mention Sango Otta...Ijebu Ode ....Agbara...Sagamu, all these places are as developed as the state capital of Ogun state.


Never...never compare a one-town state in the SE with any state in the SW....they are not and will never be in the same league.
