Vice President-General of Jama’atu Nasil Islam (JNI), Alhaji Abubakar Orlu has called on the seven governors behind the Abubakar Baraje-led New People’s Democratic Party (NPDP) to stop insulting President Goodluck Jonathan and Nigerians, with their hard-to-meet conditions to the President.

The governors are; Muazu Babangida Aliyu (Niger), Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto), Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara), Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (Kano), Sule Lamido (Jigawa) and Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers).

Orlu who made the call in a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, advised the seven governors to leave the ruling PDP and join opposition political parties if they cannot fit into the Bamanga Tukur-led party.

The Islamic leader said; “What we are seeing today is annoying. We are calling on the people of Rivers State, South-South, and Nigerians as a whole to know who to hold responsible if anything happens in this country. Who are they to insult our President anyhow? Who are they to give the President of this country conditions that nobody can accept?

“If they know that they cannot cope within the PDP; I am not a member of PDP, but what they are doing is affecting us a lot. Let them go and join other parties; the opposition parties are there or they should go and form their own party instead of playing our President anyhow they like. That is why I am saying enough is enough to these seven governors and their cohorts.”

They know that this country belongs to all of us.”

He also called on Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to stop further political alliance with the Northern governors, pointing out that Northern leaders were attempting to use him to destabilise the country.

Orlu said; “I am calling on our brother, the governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, to stop further collaboration with Northern leaders who want to make use of him destabilise this country. He should know that he is a Rivers man and a brother to Jonathan. That is not the way to play politics. The Rivers people are not happy.”

Abubakar Ole or whatever they call you, you'll soon realise that being JNI vice president is vain and utterly useless provided you're not of the Hausa-fulani extraction- na wash! We lie to ourselves everyday that it doesn't matter but we know otherwise. As far as the North and those Hausa folks are concerned, you're speaking for yourself, you stand alone! Nigeria is deeply polarised and religion is just one side of it. Sorry....
