agabaI23: Pharmacy is Not meant for people who wanted to study med surg but failed. You won't enjoy the course. You will sulk. You won't be able to advise a doctor. To You he will be a God. Go do a course you want and leave pharmacy alone. It is not an alternative to Medicine.

Beautiful! Some lousy doctors will read her post now and claim that people in paramedical are fustrated cos they cldn't get admission to study medicine.Their skulls are too thick to reason that some people do not like the course and opt for smfin they like.

We cant say for sure! IPPIS has really off set alot of things, the salaries keep fluctuating for the permanent staff. If you recalled Doctors were on strike last month over this issue( some have not been paid a dame for months).

Beyond the ceutics, cognosy, cology, Pharm MCB, clinicals, etc pharmacists mingle superbly.

pharmacist need to first realise that our major problem isn't the doctors but us. pharmacy is still evolving in this country, I believe there are plenty of untapped opportunities we have not explored. lets develop those areas and stop focusing all our attention on hospital pharmacy.

Studied Rx, graduated '06 wt a 2:1. Did 4months wt GSK, moved to GTB, did 5yrs wt GT, moved to US 4 MBA n now with LNG as Project Manager

Don't regret studying Rx tho' as I just opened my own community Rx in Ajah.

The sleepless nights in Rx skool is now giving me rest of mind. Even my old colleagues call me 'the greatest man of honour'

Finished from IFe,2008.did I. T twice in National Hospital Abuja.did intership in The teaching hospital ife and served in FMC abia.Worked in community Pharmacies in Abuja for months then joined GSK,left after a year and also worked with Sanofi Aventis too.Left this year and now Alberta,Faculty of Health Sciences for MSc.
I am at the very early stage of conversion exams to practice in Canada.
I enjoyed my time in Pharmacy school.Pharmcology was my best course in the earlies while Clinical Pharmacy was my best in 4 and 5.

@flexshop: guy na only book u come read 4 dis lyf. Doc n Rxcy wetin hap. Must hv spent ova a decade in skul studyin dis stuff. Anyway I remove cap 4 u. Don't think I can even further wit M.Pharm. Skul of pxcy tired pesin abeg. #team MBA.

Good to know about this. To me am on top of the world cos am a pharmacist- the main issue in healthcare delivery.
