@booqee don't mind that ugly man. He's so insensitive to the plight of corp members serving in Edo state.APC governors aint trying at all!
booqee: If same can be done in edo too. Oshiomole no even promise anything and he no dey pay anything to serving corp members. Its not fair o. angry Those batch B corp members dat passed out recently were promised 25k by d governor himself on their P.O.P day in june. Dey no even give am face cos they know oshiomole would never pay. Till tomorrow, none has gotten alert for said 25k.

I thought its a National programme thereby making the FG the government responsible for the allowances of corp members. When I served, Plateau State never gave us any allowance except those that worked for LG's and State Agencies/Parastatals and that was even payment for their monthly salaries(allowances). Someone should please educate me about this allowance these corp members are fighting over.

Clerverly: Are they on Fed or State Payroll? These corp members don't understand their briefs well. You are all employees of Fed Govt at the first instance, anything you receive from States is just extra and out of magnanimity of the states govts. Methinks, these infant corp members need reorientation. Smh!

Abi o!.... Some states don't even pay state allowances Edo,Kwara e.t.c

Profidada: Information reaching us has revealed that NYSC 2012 batch C corps members serving in Ekiti State are planning to embark on a peaceful protest to the govt house to express their disappointment towards the govt refusal to pay the 5000 naira stipulated monthtly allowance. The corps members were aggrieved that the gov Dr Kayode Fayemi who donated SUVs and ford saloon cars to traditional rulers was unable to pay their entitlements after one of service which is contrary to his earlier promise. Pls corps members serving in ekiti state should confirmed this.
what's your headache with the cars he distributed? Come Kwara state to ask if they pay them or some other states.

Please and please if you by any means know those spare-heading this kind of peaceful protest please in the name of God I beg you do all you can to dissuade them from carrying out the act ! Its gonna cause a break-down in the romance btw the nysc state governing council and the nysc staff/staffer in the state who will in turn vet their anger on the leaders and notable faces in the protest ! So wen other are going home with their discharge certificate , u will be serving extension with severe punishment and no pay ! Am saying this because of what I witness personally when I was serving in delta state 2010/2011 during the INEC general registration ! We went on protest when allowances were not paid ! My friends , the aftermath was hell ! Its not something I would like to share ! There's no ALUTA in nysc ! Play by the rules ! You certainly will /must be paid all outstanding areas/funds! Don't close your nysc allowee acct ! After nysc ! We still got paid 3month after nysc ! To be forewarn to to be forearmed ! In my hometown (Ekpoma in ESAN land in EDO state) there's a proverb that " when a child wasn't told about a wrong and its consequence , the elder dies in his place ! But if the child was told and goes on to disobey He dies his own death ! Thanks comrades ! Long live NYSC! Long live A.A.U ekpoma ! Long live Airhix ! We remember and always do remember the fallen soldiers ! Much respect to LATE Prof AMBROSE ALLI

Its very crazy to do this, can u try non payment of state alawi in any of the northern states? I served in borno and they never completed our state alawi and we dare not stage any rally despite they paid just 1k. What of the states that don't pay at all? Better pray for quick job as the alawi will stop soon. anyway, the cheque has been given to the bursars so save ur fight till when u get to ur states. Good luck

Were these people given proper orientation? Who told them that state allowance is a right? I served in Plateau State in 2007 batch A, and neither the state nor my place of primary assignment paid us a dime, while corp members of plateau state origin were in my own state (Rivers) collecting three allowances monthly. If I be in charge, Rivers State will pay corp members of Rivers state origin. If other states cannot pay their own indigen, they should go to their state to protest.

I'm a batch C corps member serving in Ekiti currently, Ikole Ekiti to be precise, so there is noting to confirm the news is true. Governor Kayode Fayemi or whatever should pay us our allowance. Is unfair but then if he refuses haha well time shall tell.

:oThe latest is that Ekiti state government will pay 2012 Batch C corps member via the bank after their POP, reasons being that the state has no money, but the Governor has money to buy 137 Ford cars for traditional rulers, and SUVs for Judges...... Hmmm! What a story. They moment they leave that state, the money is a forgotten issue. Corps member! Fight for your right!!
