Updated 07/12/2013 I've had to change the title. I want us to create 3D Game Engine more powerful than any other like Unity, for creating game's, our being able to accomplish this will help us to become world renowned game's programmers. We can create this in C#, Java or any other language we are comfortable with. To start with I'm going to carry out some research on the different tools available for creating 3D images and animations from low level codes, thereafter I will start developing a game engine for creating 3D games which will make use of a 3D tool for creating 3D images and animations. I hope there are programmers here who will be interested in this project and will contribute their skills. For those who take part, you'll be working remotely for a my limited software engineering company based in the UK. This will be an ongoing project so you can join in at anytime convenient for you to do so. 1 Like |

Javanian: Why not something more realistic, like a game? We have so many talented people on this forum, if we all work together as a team we can archive this goal, the knowledge gained from this project will also help us to become some of the best game's programmer in the world. Remember that if some people did not come together to form a team to create a program for writing games we won't have the kind of advance games we see today. |

All the advanced programmers here can do this with ease, it is just that they have not been exposed to it yet, an image is made up of many dots which in turn are binary codes and these codes can be retrieved using a programming language and then reprogrammed to do what you want it to do. |

I love ur dream bro. But u will be needing more than "advanced programmers" to do this. U will be needing mathematicians the most. And some really good knowledge of low-level programming. Rigid-body dynamics and even fluid dynamics. U will need to know ur physics very well. I mean really well. And know how to create good shaders. And from this ur post I quoted, I can conclude that u are not ready to take on such a feat yet. |

Nobody is being negative here. We are just being realistic. It behooves of u to at least know what u are talking about before u embark on doing it. Count the cost. I first gave u a knowledge list that u should have but u brushed it off and proceeded to undermine the complexity of the task u want to do. I never said u cant do it. I only said u will be able to do it once u acquire the mentioned knowledge set. I began to impugn on ur competence and ur capacity for such a feat when ur ignorance became palpable. Take that string of trailing "01"s u have up there, for instance. If u knew about how images are formed and represented on computers u will know for certain that it is self-indictment and self-ridicule to try to pass that off as the binary representation of that image above. |

And if u incapable of that, at least stop disgracing urself. a coloured image like that will have at least 3 bytes to represent a pixel. Since each pixel carries 3 color channels: red, green and blue. The colour of any pixel in a coloured image is a combination of different values of RGB. White is 255,255,255 or 24 "1"s in binary or 0xffffff in hexadecimal. Black is 0,0,0 or 24 "0"s in binary or Ox000000 in hexadecimal. Now to ur post. In ur dishonesty, said that the image above consists of that long string of "01"s u posted. That will mean that each pixel is: "010101010101010101010101" in binary. Or 0x555555 in hex. That means that all the pixel colours are the same. And that will give a BLANK GREY image at best. Not that picture u have up there. But that picture has pixels with different colours: white, blue and some brown or so. Now to further expose ur ignorance about how images work, I will have u know that the pixel value is not the only thing that makes up an image. An image bit stream consists of the pixel value bits, the image name bits, the image dimension value bits, the image encoding bits which determines whether it should be read as png or jpeg, etc..... There is NO way that image above can have those bit value u posted. The joke is on u. Advice: Just keep quiet already. Stop making programmers look bad. I once argued about someone that it takes intelligence to be a programmer. Apparently it doesnt. U are a testimony to that. |

This dude doesnt even have enough knowledge to deduce that an animation is a series of different images shown in rapid succession. And not one image. His Royal undoubting-Thomas would have us code and manipulate one image so that the character inside can walk across the screen. Yet he resists the voices of reason on this thread, trying to nudge him back into reality, with unprecedented dogmatism. Ignorance, truly, is bliss. Goodluck bro. U obviously have zeal and drive. @PhenomenonVFX In its raw state the 0s and 1s I posted above are a representation of the original image though not with the same quality, with the right amount of time and effort it can be converted back to its original form and look, with a language like C#. I will work on this when I have the time and post it here when it's done. By so doing I can split up the image into movable parts then write codes to co-ordinate the image to move across the screen. |
