A few weeks back Drake’s latest single
“Hold On, We’re Going Home” feat. Majid
Jordan hit GOLD status. Today, the single
is now officially platinum.
Selling 131,000 in sales this week, “Hold
On, We’re Going Home” is able to top the
1 million mark. Drake released the visuals
for the song just two weeks ago along
with the release of his new album
‘Nothing Was The Same’. “Hold On”
caused Drake to earn his 11th No. 1 on
the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart. ”Hold
On” is even part of the latest internet
craze, the Starbucks Drake Hands.
Congrats to Drake on yet another
platinum single!

Today the GRAMMYs announced the first
set of performers for the nomination
special in December. Drake will be
performing along with Robin Thicke,
Macklemore, and Keith Urban.
Drake is no stranger to the GRAMMYs as
this year he won his 1st GRAMMY for Best
Rap Album with ‘Take Care’. The Grammy
Nominations Concert Live!! —
Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night will
air December 6th from the Nokia Theatre
in Los Angeles. The host will be LL Cool J
and the special will air on CBS at 10pm
EST. They will be annoucing more
performers over the next few weeks.

Last night if you were watching the BET
Hip-Hop Awards you’re sure to have seen
the new ‘Lebron Face’ Sprite commercial.
The commercial features people in
different elements giving their version of
the #LebronFace while Drake’s hit single
“Started From The Bottom” plays in the
background. Just last week the
commercial for Assassin’s Creed IV - Black
Flag premiered which also features
“Started From The Bottom”. Though it
was released at the beginning of the
year, it seems this song has become the
anthem of 2013. Both “Hold On, We’re
Going Home” and “Started From The
Bottom”, though very different in sound,
have both have had much success as
singles. Drake offers versatility in his
music and these two songs definitely
showcase that.
