Today's meditation....
Words of St Vincent de Paul

When you are called from your prayers or the Eucharistic celebration to serve the poor, you lose nothing, since to serve the poor is to go to God. You must see God in the faces of the poor.
It is our duty to prefer the service of the poor to everything else and to offer such service as quickly as possible. If a needy person requires medicine or other help during prayer time, do whatever has to be done with peace of mind. Offer the deed to God as your prayer…. Charity is certainly greater than any rule. Moreover, all rules must lead to charity.

The message is simple.... Charity should be your number one priority in your spiritual, physical and "emotional" life.
At all times, as long as you have the capability, no matter how little, you shouldn't shy away or give reason for not doing the work of charity. Don't say you are late to Mass, don't say it's your offering/tithe money, dont say you are in prayer.... An act of charity is technically not supposed to be proposed. Imagine if the good Samaritan didn't turn up in the parable told by Christ and the wounded man died afterwards. How would you feel if you were to be among those that passed the wounded man without helping him, then you get to hear the news about his death...? Food for thought.

Good morning friends...

Today's meditation....
Words of St Vincent de Paul...

We should strive to keep our hearts open to the sufferings and wretchedness of other people, and pray continually that God may grant us that spirit of compassion which is truly the spirit of God.

In all we do, we should never forget the importance of prayer in our daily activities.

Today's meditation..
Extract of yesterday's gospel reading...

Jesus said to the Pharisees, ‘There was a rich man who used to dress in purple and fine linen and feast magnificently every day. And at his gate there lay a poor man called Lazarus, covered with sores, who longed to fill himself with the scraps that fell from the rich man’s table. Dogs even came and licked his sores. Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to the bosom of Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried.
‘In his torment in Hades he looked up and saw Abraham a long way off with Lazarus in his bosom. So he cried out, “Father Abraham, pity me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in agony in these flames.” “My son,” Abraham replied “remember that during your life good things came your way, just as bad things came the way of Lazarus. Now he is being comforted here while you are in agony.

May Gid help us so that we won't be so engrossed in what we have that we fail to recognize the suffering of our neighbors.

A wonderful week ahead.

Thomas Aquinas is nothing short of a genius, and the Pange Lingua lends credence thereto.

[...]

Only a Beethoven, or a Bach, or a Gregory Allegri could equal a composition so poignant it communes with the inward-listening awareness...that inner buffer where the spirit meets the bone.

Salus, honor, virtus quoque
Sit et benedicto:
Procendeti ab utroque
Compar sit laudatio

To be frank this it is one of the very few compositions which shakes the spirit, soul and body.
Indeed it was a legendary piece

Did you know that Pope Urban VIII on hearing Gregory Allegri's "Miserere" outlawed it from being performed outside the walls of the Sistine Chapel?
He did this because he fell in love with the composition from the first time he heard it, and because he thought it was too good to be performed outside the Vatican.

This de facto law ran for many years until Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart went on tour with his father to Italy.
Mozart heard the "Miserere" for the first time in the Sistine Chapel in the year 1770, and transcribed it entirely from MEMORY — a commendable feat if you factor the length of Allegri's composition.

Mozart went back to Rome after a lag of some years so he could hear the composition again to make his final improvements and to sand off the rough edges.

Mozart, having improved on the composition, took it to England and passed it along to Charles Burney, and it was only after this that the papacy lifted the restriction on the "Miserere", for Mozart already made available to the masses, what was meant to be the treasured secret of the Capella Sistina.

So basically, the only reason we are able to listen to one of the choicest compositions today is because of the sheer ingenuity of Mozart.

Touché.

Important Information for Catholics

And when you shall see theabomination of desolation,
standing where it ought not: he that readeth let him understand:...

- Mark 13:14 (Douay-Rheims)
"Rome will lose the Faith and become the seat of the Antichrist."

- The Message of Our lady of La Salette

There can be little doubt to anyone with an ounce of truth in his heart

that something is very wrong within the Roman Church.

There is no need to waste words or speak in uncertain tones over this

subject. The events foretold by the Prophet Daniel and Our Lady, have

come to pass.

“I often say that the only glory we have,..., is that of being sinners.”

- Jorge Bergiglio a.k.a Francis, Conversations,
pp. 120-121

“For if you believe not that I am He, you shall die in your sin.”

- John 8:24

“… promote religious freedom for everyone, everyone! Every man and every
woman must be free in his or her profession of religion, whatever it may be."

- Francis, Address, May 18, 2013

: “Whoever wishes to be saved, needs above all to hold the Catholic faith.
Unless each one preserves this whole and inviolate, he will without a doubt
perish in eternity.”
- Pope Eugene IV,
Council of Florence, 1439, ex cathedra

Muslims, Jews, Orthodox, Catholics and others. We are all brothers and
sisters! We all adore the One God! Never ever let there be separation
among you. Brotherhood and union.”
- Francis, June 6, 2015,
Address at the John Paul II Youth Center

Listen carefully.

You are deceived, most of you.

As Our Lord's Blessed Mother has warned us, Satan now rules from the Vatican.

A cult of Freemasonic Diabolists have seized control of our buildings

and vestments. They have erected a new altar, established a New Mass,

and preach a new doctrine.

“For here and there a great many foolishly and dangerously hold and advance
the method of education, which is disgustingly called ‘sexual’…”

- Pope Pius XI, Dec. 31, 1931,
encyclical Divini Illius Magistri

“The Church is not opposed to sex education. Personally, I believe that it
ought to be available throughout children’s upbringing
, adapted to different
age groups.”

- Francis, Conversations,
p. 111

Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them
in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

- Matthew 28: 19

Proselytism (evangelization) is solemn nonsense. It makes no sense.”
- Francis, October 1, 2013,
Repubblica magazine

Dissociate yourself from the Novus Ordo church.

Avoid the new mass under all circumstances.

Profess and obey the true Dogma of the Church in its entirety.

And pray (the Rosary).
