I know of people who marry 2 but they are all old now . never heard of one at this time and age thought you wanted to try
|Re: Islamic Names And Their Meanings by olabowale(m): 8:13pm On Jul 03, 2008|
Has marrying more than 1 old fashion and or out of style? Is it possible that that is the case? Never. Allah the Almighty started with 2, then 3, then 4 and it is then that the Wise came to 1.
We therefore, always observe in most societies that women are always more than men, in population. Even in the time of peace. But in the time of way, the population of men to women is a lot lower. always wonder if the situarion is one man and one woman, what happens to excess women who are not married, because there is no eligible men? You see the mercy of Allah to compensate for this impossibility of one man and one woman, if everyone is eager to marry.
I for one encourages my women folks to marry a man who is truly a believer regardless of his marital status. In as long as he is within the boundary set in the Qur'an on the number of wives. This is the only major condition when both are willing to marry each other.

Mukina, what of male list. Pls I want to know the exact meaning of my name.
|Re: Islamic Names And Their Meanings by ofurufu(m): 11:37am On Jul 04, 2008|
Sister Sherry,I understand. Being a female, you will naturally not want to share your husband with another lady. This is why most ladies don't want their husband to marry second wife, unfortunately many Muslim women with Islamic understanding also do this.
Some people unfortunately bring weak argument that it is not possible to love and treat two women equally, so we cannot implement the Ayah that sanctions marrying more than one wife.
Allah is our creator and knows all our qualities. The way out is simple: If naturally, you tend to like one wife more than the other, you can control it by trying not to let this reflect in your dealings with them. Treating them equally is something you have control over.
So let all Muslims beware of the evil called MODERNIZATION that is gradually eroding our thinking. It's a pity you find some Muslims campaigning against polygamy, when Allah sanctions it. Since, monogamy is also allowed in Islam, why not stick to it if that is what you desire, but don't campaign against Allah's sanction of allowing us to marry up to 4 wives.
There is no problem in marrying one wife, but recognize the fact that Islam allows up to 4 and it is very possible to treat all the four equally. If it's not possible Allah will not approve it.Allah doesn't place on us burden greater than what we can bear.
