Most people are unable to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Watchtower religion, because information is released on a right-to-know basis. For instance, there is a soft version of the Watchtower for the public, and a far more controlling and direct
study version that is used once a person has progressed to the
stage of attending meetings.

Elders have a manual that
outlines rules and procedures, some that are not listed elsewhere accessible by the average member. So secret is this
information, that when the latest version was released, Letter to
Elders, August 23, 2010 stated:

"The information is designed for use by the elders only, and other
individuals should not have any opportunity to read the information."

Sisters are not allowed to even bind it under supervision, as directed in the following quote
from the Letter to Elders, October 7, 2010:

"There is no objection if an elder personally spiral binds or laminates his own textbook or does so for other elders. If he has another baptized brother
who is not an elder do the work for him, the elder must watch while the work is being done.
Outside companies, unbelievers, or sisters are not permitted to do
this work. The material in the book is confidential, and confidentiality must be preserved."

Much of the information in this book is devoted to the practice of disfellowshipping, information
that a person should be made well aware of before any baptism
into the religion.
Information highlighted on the Watchtower's official website is
also presented in a way to appear far less offensive than the
official doctrine really is. For instance, in order to justify the strict stance on shunning and disfellowshipping, the article Always Accept Jehovah's Discipline under the heading
"Why Some Are
Disfellowshipped" states,

"Disfellowshipping takes place only if a member of the congregation unrepentantly engages in gross sin."
This is
misleading, since there are numerous things a Witness can be disfellowshipped for that
cannot be considered a "gross" sin, such as speaking to a disfellowshipped person,
smoking, or questioning
Watchtower doctrine.
In the article Do You Shun Former Members of Your Religion?, the initial comment that those who
no longer preach "are not
shunned" is a red herring, as it is referring to a person who is inactive, not a former member as
the question clearlystates.

"Those who were baptized as
Jehovah’s Witnesses but no longer preach to others, perhaps
even drifting away from
association with fellow believers, are not shunned. In fact, we
reach out to them and try to rekindle their spiritual interest.
We do not automatically
disfellowship someone who commits a serious sin. If, however, a baptized Witness
makes a practice of breaking the Bible’s moral code and does not
repent, he or she will be shunned or disfellowshipped. The Bible clearly states: “Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.”"
The second paragraph is also deceptive, as a person does not
just get disfellowshipped for breaking "the Bible's moral code", but also the many Watchtower rules that are not directly outlined in the Bible, and
also for disagreeing with
Watchtower doctrine. Further, a person that stops their wrongdoing and repents will still
be shunned for life, unless they return to the religion and are officially reinstated.
Likewise, misleading information is presented when dealing with
the Watchtower's offensive doctrine on salvation. The Watchtower is clear that you must be one of Jehovah's Witnesses to be saved at Armageddon, with billions of people being mercilessly
destroyed. Yet notice the
ambiguous way in which a Witness is to respond when questioned if only Witnesses will be saved. It is recommended to
say NO; even though the
explanation shows the answer is yes.

"Do You Feel That You Are the Only People Who Will Be Saved?

No. Many millions who lived in centuries past and who weren’t Jehovah’s Witnesses will have an
opportunity for salvation. The Bible explains that in God’s promised new world, “there is
going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Acts 24:15)
Additionally, many now living may yet begin to serve God, and they too will gain salvation. In
any case, it’s not our job to judge who will or won’t be saved. That
assignment rests squarely in Jesus’ hands."

Another misleading statement appears in an Awake! article that
discusses how people should not be dissuaded from leaving their religion to join the true religion.

"No one should be forced to worship in a way that he finds unacceptable or be made to choose between his beliefs and
his family." Awake! 2009 July p.29

The irony of this quote is that the Watchtower enforces one of the
strictest censorships on its own members that change religion,
forcing family members to shun former members.

Why? Scriptural reasons please.

Information highlighted on the Watchtower's official website is

why do you not consider them gross?

smoking doesnt show respect for life. 2cor. 7:1

when you say question the teaching of JW, I dont understand you. If you ask question about what you dont understand or even write to them, they will answer you.

If you are talking of disordeliness, then read:

2 Thessalonians 3:6, 13-15 KJV

Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. [13] But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. [14] And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. [15] Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

The bible indicates that if you disobey those taking the lead, it will be damaging to you.

In the article Do You Shun Former Members of Your Religion?, the initial comment that those who
no longer preach "are not
shunned" is a red herring, as it is referring to a person who is inactive, not a former member as

it is not misleading, it is only clerifying some misunderstanding that some do have. and when someone refuses to attend meeting and withdraws himself from the congregation, you cant just call him an inactive witness. he may not even be parading himself as a witness. I ve seen such ones before.

Some bad behaviors are not directly delt with in the bible, but this is often covered by a bible principle. You dont expect the bible to name everything before you stop it.

On the issue of your watchtower doctrine. Many of your so called watchtower doctrine are backed up by a bible principles.

It is wrong to be disorderly as my above point shows. true xtians must speak in agreement.

Likewise, misleading information is presented when dealing with
the Watchtower's offensive doctrine on salvation. The Watchtower is clear that you must be one of Jehovah's Witnesses to be saved at Armageddon, with billions of people being mercilessly

[/size]

How is it misleading? didnt you see the last statement?

The truth is: there is one channel that God is using today. eph. 4:4, 5.

this is evidence as Christ shows that this fellowers of his will have an identity.

and not being in the truth after hearing the goodnews makes it hard to conclude that he will be saved.

False religion will be destroyed along with any who is in it. Rev. 18:4, Matt. 7:22, 23.

the truth sets you free.

The above shows that not being a true worshipper of God, or that your religion can affect your salvation.

Now we are convinced that we are that one true religion. Do we now conclude that any who are not witnesses will not attain salvation?

No. first, it is Jesus that will determine as the bolded red said.

secondly, there will be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous. we do not know all of the unrighteous for now.

thirdly, their are righteous ones in the past who were not JWs.

Whether Jesus will resurrect some who rejected our message because of one reason or the other, is no longer our work to determine.

Inshort giving somebody that assurance is risky because the bible shows that there is no two faiths, with different controlling headquarters and contradictory teachings.

Another misleading statement appears in an Awake! article that

The irony of this quote is that the Watchtower enforces one of the

1. the awake you quoted is incomplete. complete the reference.

2. the bolded. disorderliness and apostasy is condemned in the bible.

the fact that you ve chosen to follow another belief doesnt mean that you will still receive the former welcome as before. compare 2Tim 2:16-18.

You seem to be an apostate. I can sense that. If you were disfellowshipped for being a gay. maybe you are angry that the bible didnt mention gay and you were still disfellowshipped, I will advise you repent cos it is a sin you are engaging in. God still loves you.

True. we do have a study edition to which we dont give to the public, however, that doesnt mean it is a secret article. why because members of the public can still access it from our online library including the daily text.

Elders have a manual that
outlines rules and procedures, some that are not listed

Much of the information in this book is devoted to the
practice of disfellowshipping,

Yes such thing exists. but what it contains are still drawn from our publication which is accessible by and witness but the difference is that the one the elders are holding is a compilation of various topics drawn from watchtowers, awakes, other books publish by JW and which is accessible to all witnesses.

there is no different direction on disfellowship which is different from the one published in our watchtowers or other publications. so any witness is aware of the consequences of behaving in a wrong way. of course you dont expect the organisation to make research and tell you the consequences when there had been a biblical discussion on it in our publications. and we study it in our meetings.

Any letter which bothers on morality or a new direction on what attitude is to receive a punishment is read to all members of the congregation before the elders will file it.

Their are some direction which may not be of interest to the congregation but which will guide elders on how to do their work. this type of letter is not read to all. but a publisher can be educated on it by asking an elder. If the elder thinks it is essential for him to know.

@JMAN,
please answer this simple question, with a yes or no

is the watchtower and tract society the only organization with a stamp of approval from God?

am asking you because you are the only fairly biased Jehovah's witness, who is likely to give me a sincere answer.
