Since I couldnt get access to the internet on my phone which is WAP enabled, I was forced to go to MTN office today and ask for assistance. When I got there, I explained to them what was wrong, to my greatest suprise they simply said I shud repeat all I have previously done. I explained again that I had already done all that but and asked if there was nothing more they could do to help out, they simply told me thats all.

Please people, is that a customer friendly attitude?

MTN customer care couldn't configure my phone for WAP. I did it & was browsing in minutes. Glo customer care can't explain difference between WAP & GPRS, & can't tell that a P800 is GPRS-enabled. What do they know?!

On Vmobile,thier steps r really customer friendly despite thier shotcomings.D 12free sms 'll ultimatly force down sms price, Thanks to Vmobile i can brows with my phone for free now

I advice you to switch over to V.Mobile since MTN has become terrorist in their charges. i Love the network, But i bitterly  Hate the Costomer's Care operator.

The settings are on the web and have been posted somewhere in this forum.

Why don't you post the settings you have here. I am sure someone will take a look at ti and be able to determine what you may be doing wrong.

My dear believe me I spent 2 whole days on my computer just trying to set up my GPRS and so far its only my MMS thats functioning.

I have sent them the text, they have sent me the settings, I have saved it but when I try to browse the page is blank and it ends up showing me this "Technical Difficulties" thats after they have sapped all my credit. damn

I have called their customer care 5times today and all they tell me is "we will investigate" as if its a criminal case!

i dont think the mtn office would be the best place have u met some of those guys that repair phone softwares and stuff they might help. or probably ur phone is faulty if other people can access with those settings.

If your MMS is working, then I would check into your particular handset. And make sure that MTN's GPRS is the default one. It may not be and issue if you only have one sim. But if you have several you need to make sure you are using the correct providers setting. For example, I have GPRS settings for Tmobile USA, Virgin UK, Voda UK, and MTN on my phone. So, depending on which sim is in the phone I have to choose the correct one.

yes i agree with you bossman thats something that should be checked as well i also have to do the same with my different sim cards, you would have to check the setting.

I think MTN is not customer friendly at all they are only being profit oriented. I prefer Vmobile to MTN because Vmobile offers all what MTN offers at more affordable rates.
