I do not have any idea in mind, but I believe I can collaborate with other Nairalanders to setup a formidable business empire. If you're innovative and not afraid of taking risks, join us on this thread.

@ Cowleg: I reside in Sapele but that won't be a problem. The business'll be a B2C service business. One that can be operated from anywhere in the world. My reason for suggesting this type of business is that they're easy to start and manage, and have low startup cost. And luckily for us, the New Nairaland Ad system will help us target our prospects better. The planning of the business will be done here on this thread. Then we meet at a central location, preferably Lagos, before execution.

So far, we've gotten only three interested candidates. When we have the required no, each candidate'll be required to bring up an idea. Not just any idea, but one that has the prospects of being nurtured into a multi-million business empire, out of which we'll choose the best out of the 10 ideas.

We can't continue waiting. So, if you're ready, come up with your idea. But pls leave out the strategic aspect of it i.e what and what we need to do to actualize the idea. Will come up with my idea later, so stay tuned.

That's a novel idea but what makes you believe this idea will succeed, considering the fact that Nigerian students do not like learning.

what type of biz can be coordinated from different locations, i see we are all located very far from each other. This gonna be a huge barrier because am not good in online biz, if it were to be a physical biz where we all can brainstorm together to create an industry i believe much in manufacturing sector.

As u've rightly said Nigerian students dont like reading. From experience students spends more time surfing the internet than reading books and we believe google more than reading books. it is abt setting up a pay per reading website. We all know abt the print ed past Q n A (jamb and the Ssce version) if we can get copyright permission we can start with that.

Another one i think is this popularised importation biz. I ordered for 9 pieces of female wristwatch on aliexpress, sept 29th 2013. d actual price of d watch is $4.59 but i got it on promo for $2.94. It's still in transit tho cos i shipped tru free shipping but i've sold 5 for 2k each in wat i called 'pre order sales'. Those 9 pieces cost $26.46 (#4350.98) d exchange rate was abt 164.43/$ as at then

Good morning guys, Like I said when I opened the thread, I did not have any idea in mind. I have ventured into several businesses. Not one, not two, not three. I find none as profitable as my CV writing service, CV Wizards. Presently, there's a huge demand for a professionally written CV. No thanks to the high level of unemployment. With thousands or millions of applicants chasing the few available jobs, a persuasive, effective and professional CV is an indispensable tool in getting an interview. A job seeker is left with three options: Writing his/her CV, getting a friend or family member to do it for free or paying an expert. A good number of those who go for the first two options, if they do not get significant results over a period of time, succumb to the third option.

A CV Writing service can be managed from anywhere in the world, provided there's access to the internet, and has great prospects. Many successful CV writing companies are reporting an annual profit of $250,000, which is equivalent to N37.5m. The following are examples www.cvcentre.co.uk, www.cvlizard.com, www.resumeedge.com

If you buy the idea of a CV Writing service, we can start a new one from scratch or restructure CV Wizards (www.cvwizards.com). All we need to do is update the info, automate payment and take it to the world. We can achieve this with less than N250,000.

I'm a believer in your idea, cos have done my own research too.
But tell me, how many CV have you written that was successful.
If your answer is yes, we can work something out in that. PM instead.

I can't tell exactly how many CVs I have written that won interviews, but they're in hundreds. The testimonials on the CV Wizards' website are from satisfied clients. I also get some business from referrals.

CV writing is an art. It takes a lot of time and effort to learn, which a lot of job seekers are not willing to sacrifice. If we opt for the CV writing idea, Other partners will need to learn this art. Cos I won't be able to handle the volume of work. I'm willing and ready to refer prospective partners to useful learning resources.

A number of people have commented but I don't know how many are really interested. This is a very serious business so we need dedicated people. It's not as if I can't do this alone, but with others, the prospects will be explosive.
