a browser is a piece of computer software used to search for information on the World Wide Web. It was invented in 1990 by Sir Tim Berners-Lee. It was called WorldWideWeb and was later renamed Nexus. Today, there are over 70 of them; the popular ones being: 1. Internet Explorer by Microsoft Corporation 2. Firefox (also known as Mozilla Firefox) by Mozilla Corporation Available on Windows and Macintosh 3. Chrome by Google Available on Windows, Macintosh and Unix/Linux 4. Safari by Apple Inc. Available on Windows and Macintosh 5. Opera by Opera Software ASA Available on Windows, Macintosh and Unix/Linux 6. Netscape Navigator by Netscape Communications Corporation (now part of AOL) and others Browsers use these days, to me, depends on launch time and speed (sha). I believe we all prefer one to the other. for me it's chrome because it is "light in weight" compared to others. So, which do you prefer? |
