With respect to this simple maths: 3+3 x 3 - 3 + 3.

The answer is 12. I wonder why people are failing this elementary mathematics.

BODMAS

Step 1: 3 x 3 = 9
Step 2: 3 + 9 = 12
Step 3: 12 - 3 +3
-3 cancels out +3
Hence, answer = 12.

For me, the complain they gave was that the first bank acct i provided cant receive the vol of amount. So i had to provide another bank details which i am still waiting for them to pay into.

If u still hvnt be paid, u need to call them to complain.

Using BODMAS, you do multiplication before addition or subtraction.

3 + 3 x 3 - 3 + 3
= 3 + 9 - 3 + 3
= 12 - 3 + 3
= 9 + 3
= 12

The problem in your steps is not with the multiplication but the last two terms in the equation.
Do you know that -3+3 is not the same as -(3+3) ?

1st case:
-3+3=0

2nd case:
-(3+3) = -3-3 = -6

Simple arithmetic, no need for including unnecessary brackets or proving by differentiations.

Type the equation in your scientific calculator and see if you won't get 12.

The problem is people thinking that -X + X becomes -(X + X).

-X + X = 0, not -2X.

Please be corrected.

Dway4ward. Whether u solve that stuff left to right, right to left, inside to outside, outside to inside, upside down or diagonally, as long as u follow the rules of mathematics, the solution computes to give 12. Any other answer is not of this world.

Now, to make it easier for you, u failed at the "Addition" stage. You added what should be subtracted.. you should have grouped like terms for you to see why u shouldn't have added -3 to +3 for you to get -6
