perhaps the Senegalese preparation didn't meet the FIFA standard; weak security or poor stadiums could've caused it. Ghana FA was clamouring for FIFA to rule Cairo unsafe due to the recent unrests there so they could play on neutral grounds, unfortunately, they didn't get that.

Ok, thanks.

Also why do players play like it's the end because of saying "home match"

They (senegal) didn't play nothing the first leg but now they wanted to kill themselves on the pitch just because saying "home"

The would be good if granted by FIFA but the Egyptians don't play with Cairo.

It's like their lives are planted there. Anything it deserves, they give to any match at Cairo.

I guess it's a psychological thing. Players seemed to be more motivated at 'home', lol.

na wa o. So Spain made time to play Equitorial Guinea, yet Nigerians berate the SE for playing supposedly weak teams like the Burkinabe.

It's not the matter of going to BRAZIL instead it's the question of what can we deliver? After all we showcased at the 2012 S.A WC with the likes of ayegbeni, haruna, yobo, taiwo etc only to disgrace ourselves despite being placed in a favourable group.

There is no disgrace in making it to the World Cup. Ask the countries that didn't qualify which they prefer. undecided

nope, in the words of my fellow naijariyans, "The entire Spanish team no sleep well for night so their eye no clear, EQG met them on a bad day"...we happily make excuses when it's the European/S.American teams falling hand, but the SE are expected to unleash an arsenal of goals on the supposed minnows

Sometime in the late 2000s the Equatorial Guinean sports authorities decided to go into the business of importing players. At a point in time, the Equatorial Guinean senior male national team had 9 Brazilians in its ranks, while the senior female national team had 4 Nigerians.

FIFA had to create a new law that regulates the way footballers change nationality, because of the antics of Equatorial Guinea and the UAE.

Equatorial Guinea failed to qualify for the last ANC, so no, they aren't that good. They're playing at home and the Spanish team tends to struggle against really physical sides, because of their short stature and lack of strength.

Congratulations to Nigeria. Keshi and his players played just like professionals. I like their mentality. This mentality will really help them for the World Cup just like it did for qualification and AFCON. Ethiopians need more experience... grin grin grin

SO NOBODY NOTICED THAT THE ETHIOPIANS WERE DENIED AT LEAST ONE PENALTY AWARD?
AND THE FREE KICK WAS TAKEN WHEN THE REFEREE MOVED TO INSTRUCT AN ETHIOPIAN LAYER TO FALL BACK TO THE DEFENSE LINE, WHEN THE ETHIOPIANS WERE DISTRACTED?

make I SEE ANYBODY WEY GO COMPLAIN IF REFEREE BLOW OJOROO AGAINST US ANY DAY.

Go dash them, first foul was outside 18 yard. The second one was dive and the player was booked by the ref.

Nothing is wrong with the free kick, a four man wall was formed before Nsofor took the kick

Uuuumeeeeh.

Ethiops,

Did the Ethiopians had any illusion of winning yesterday then, no? How I love the pretenders.

Look, be thankful a mere 90% of these guy are tamed, have been tamed by a rather silly 'European' way of going about playing the beautiful game. In fact, my mates in Cross River State would had blasted (at least SIX past you lot yesterday.)

With that said, do the Ethiops need anything from Bazil come 2014? A certain Brazilian she-goat perhaps? Mind you, I have been told Brazilian she-goat are rather juicy.

Congrats to the Keshi and the Super Eagles.

But that stadium in Calabar. Seriously?

That was worse than the useless pitch in starving Ethiopia.

And must the MC keep shouting "Make some noise" as if he's a DJ in Atlanta?
