It is not all about scoring goals. Giroud has been making lots of contribution for the team namely; good hold up play, flick on to teammates, winning aerial duels offensively & defensively, giving CBs headache with aerial duels as well as providing key passes, assist & goals. You don't know what you have till when you lose it. What arsenal need is a good backup striker not someone that will bench Giroud. Someone like Chicharito that will come from the bench and get you goals.

It was the Capital One cup! We all know this competition is as significant as the youth or women's league to Wenger. It's an opportunity to give up-comers a chance. Granted, he respected Chelsea enough to use more first team shirts than he usually does in the Carling Cup at that stage but the strategy was an Arsenal plan B as expected. Exactly, Giroud is good for arsenal,it was his aerial prowess that created the chance for Ramsey, Giroud is a hardworking and unselfish player, his worth to this current arsenal set up,can never be over estimated.
