If Fg declares all universities to resume work using veto power, all lectures will go back to work. It just like ordering the sch management to call back their lecturers to work. Even ASUU know what VETO power means.

fabby26: ASUU is bent on implementation of their agreement and nothing will make them shift their ground not even if God comes down from heaven. The president seeing them does not change their stand, and nothing will change it. And FGN using forceful means may appear fruitful at onset, but I smell failure. The best thing for FG to do is 100% implementation. CHIKINA

The president can't use his veto power on ASUU. The worst he can do, after the no-work-no-pay strategy currently in place is to direct the universities to open; a register be made available for lecturers who resumed to sign; then he can sack the other lecturers.

Definitely, they can go to court and win, after which the FG will appeal and reappeal and the lecturers will remain unemployed until 15yrs time, awaiting the result of the appeal.
