The Africa’s largest and Nigeria’s oldest carnival will begin its 2013 edition tagged Green World Edition on Sunday 15 December 2013 at the Carnival Village and ends on Saturday 21 December 2013 at the same venue

The Brief Statement

A great diversity of opportunities attends us as Rivers people and nearly all of these are a direct consequence of our state’s abundant wealth of resources. These resources are in fervent communion with the elements and with nature’s most abstract rendition of her wholesome beauty- our environment.

Our environment is the centerpiece of all of our commercial and industrial endeavors, and in our triumphant march to becoming the energy capital of Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa we owe the totality of the spoils of our conquests to the resilience and temperance of our environment and its ever-abiding civilizations.

As is widely understood, CARNIRIV is considerably funded by the government of Rivers State. With our projections to nurture the carnival into a fiscally autonomous corporate entity in the next few years, we realize private-investor participation as being largely cogent and indispensible to this objective.

For the Green World Edition, we have exercised the utmost delicateness in crafting sponsorship belts which represent the most satisfactory value to prospective ‘partners’ whilst reserving the equanimously balanced cathartic devotion, reverence and commitment requisite for the fulfillment of set co-institutional objectives and corporate-social responsibilities.

CARNIRIV 2013: GREEN WORLD EDITION would thus be looking to enter into partnerships with government ministries, government agencies, government parastatals, UN partner institutions, multinationals, corporate and private institutions, and well-meaning individuals to ensure a colorful, grand and ultimately successful showpiece; but more importantly, and ahead of future working relationships, to strike the sweet-sounding chords of friendship.
