These four Somalis above: Mohammed Ahmed Abdi, Liban Abdullah, Adan Adan and Hussein Hassan are accused as suspects of the horrific Kenyan Mall attack that occurred a couple of months ago. It is uncertain if these men are Kenyan nationals too.

"The prosecution must come with a strong and convincing case for why these people should conduct their trial while in custody," defence lawyer Mbugua Mureithi told the Nairobi court. These men are not alleged gunmen in the attack. They pleaded not guilty to 'charges of carrying out a terrorist attack by supporting a terrorist group."

Apparently, the gunmen in the Westgate attack were four, not twelve people that security forces had reported. Also, it seems that the gunmen died during the four-day siege. However, Interpol is still trying to identify the four bodies as the real gunmen.
The defense is expected to present its argument to the court during the initial hearing which begins on December 19. Defense has to explain why these men should be on bail during the trial. How about there is no evidence that they are the actual gunmen? The trial will commence in late January.

Several witnesses in the mall mentioned how the gunmen stormed through the crowded complex while they fired and hurled grenades at innocent shoppers and staff. According to the Kenyan Red Cross, over 20 people are still missing and several more dead bodies to be recovered from the destroyed mall.

After the attack, the Shebab threatened more attacks against Kenya because Nairobi refused to pull its troops out of Somalia, warning that "rivers of blood will flow in Nairobi."
