Be it as it may, the Nigerian police’s primary function is security of life and properties. The new trend of using police as servant boy by politicians is a great national insult to our police force. Police are not suppose to be servant boy but security agents.
What do you feel about the photo?

Such a huge shame.

Obviously, we are not ripe for state police.

Lust for money, really can destroy.

They are talking about nigerian police here, not about APC, Apga, obi or anambra state.

My brother we are ripe for state police, is just that nigeria govt don't obey law most time and we the citizen don't have right in this country. Even the FG govt who has the power over nigerian police, use them as thugs nowadays, rivers state is a good example.

I see a business opportunity here
form a security firm
voluntarily provide heavy security to lawmakers and executive
persuade them to pass and sign a bill that will ban the police, paramilitary and military from bodyguarding individuals not in government.
monopolize the security market
hahaha cheesy

How much is their salary?

I prefer them serving whoever that can afford to throw them some notes as opposed to them coming out in the streets to harass defenseless civilians.

Even though this your post is politically motivated, the NPF can't protect nothing so they might as well put themselves to better use like your photo above.

Osu defender or whatever you call yourself.
Do you not have a governor?

Please leave our Government alone, we have enough newspapers here to cover our political activities, kindly face your village and your Oba.

If you don't have a governor you people can appeal to chief sweetus, am sure he'll accept to brink Lita Dominick to your forest-ridden government house. Thank you

IG Orders Arrest Of Policemen Involved In Scramble For Money At Tinubu’s Criminal Arraignment Follow @Real1976AD 391 followers Nigeria Police At Tinubu's Code Of Conduct Tribunal Arraignment Scramble for Money Thrown By ACN Chieftains Sad what Nigeria has come to, at least
the IG seems to be taking action.
Meanwhile, is it only me, or does
anyone else think the fact that Bola
and Remi Tinubu were involved in
large scale Heroin distribution in the USA, is an issue that is being
completely swept under the rug, even
though a public record of this exists if
one knows where to find it? I mean they were big time drug
dealers as recently as the 1990s, and
the only thing Nigerian govenment is
interested in is the fact that he has/had
foreign bank accounts? SMH NaijaPundit Inspector-General of Police, Hafiz
Ringim, has ordered the arrest and
trial of policemen involved in scramble
for money at the Code of Conduct
Tribunal, venue of the trial of former
Lagos State governor, Senator Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday. Informed police sources disclosed to
Saturday Tribune that Ringim had
directed the Commissioner of Police in
the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mike
Zuokumor, to get those that were
involved in the “show of shame.” The IGP was said to have expressed
resentment after telephone calls to him
by concerned citizens over the
photograph showing the policemen in
the act, which he described an
embarrassment to not only the force, but the nation. Some national dailies had published
the picture on Thursday. The force spokesman, Olusola Amore,
a deputy commissioner of police, told
Saturday Tribune that the photograph
was an embarrassment to the force
and that the IGP had directed the
investigation of the case. Meanwhile, there are strong
indications that Senator Tinubu may
be charged to a regular court for the
criminal aspect of the charge preferred
against him at the Code of Conduct
Tribunal by the Federal Government. A three-count charge was slammed on
him for allegedly operating 16 foreign
accounts while in office as governor
between 1999 and 2007. He was docked by the tribunal on
Wednesday, but the trial could not go
on due to the amendment made to the
charge against him which required
him to go and study it before coming
back on 26 October for his plea. He had consistently maintained his
innocence. A highly-placed source told Saturday
Tribune that it was likely that he would
still have his day in the regular court
for the criminal aspect of the charge
against him, which the tribunal could
not handle due to its regimented statutory and constitutional powers. The source noted that the trial at the
tribunal may have to run to an end
before the one in the regular court
could take off, since the case before
the tribunal would be used to
determine the level of criminality involved in the alleged crime. The source added that if he should be
convicted of the counts, especially the
first count which border on operating
and maintaining foreign accounts,
then he would be equally guilty of the
second charge which border on false declaration on oath to the Code of
Conduct Bureau, then it is certain that
he would be charged to the regular
court for perjury and criminal conduct
trial.
