You have all spoken well, on a 50 by 100 pplot of land you should pland 100 suckers.
Plantain do have fungus deseases which must be noted, so your sources of sucker is very important
There is also need for regular plantation maintenace, ie each stand spacing must be kept year in year out , otherwise the bounch would be smaller than previous & poor yeild.
We have a specie thatwe sell in ibadan that produce two bounches.
Wind breakers must be planted
Support for plantain crop is also required to support the heavy weight of the plantain fruit, it must be carefully position so as to protect the plant from dying.
We sell the hybrid two/ double bounch plant for N100 a sucker. Each sucher grows to reproduce 10 new suchers at the end of the year.
Do not allow more than 3 suckers to remain on a sport so as to have a good yeild at once.

You should use poultry waste mixed with sawdust as manure at the base of the plantain to get veryy big plantain fruits
Plantain can also be grown from it seed , obtain inside the ripe plantain.

A new type of DODO IKIRE can be package, well season, without sand or dust for sale, infact many new snacks can also come out of the plantain.
