Question For Old Skool Fanatics by superb(m): 11:20pm On Jun 13, 2006 |
hi, i'm trying to find the artist who sang a particular song.i think they were both released in the eighties or early nineties.i know they were well played on radio lagos in nigeria then.the first one has a chorus that goes "come join us people let us have some fun (cuz the party's just begun) if you know how to party come and have some fun common everyone" second one had some calypso like instrumental to it .part of the chorus was "to put the lime in the coconut makes no sense to me ---------------------------------------- -------------------- find another woman while the choice is up to you" the last one i'm sure is african.it has a group of females singing a chorus a chorus like "all afrobeat come dance with me all around the world ----------------- come dance with me" thats it.i said i should post this on the forum cuz you neva know.some people fit know am! |

superb: The song you're refering to is called 'Universal party' by Delroy (and the line 'if you know how to party' is 'universal party') superb: The song is 'Rhyme And Reason' by Gregory Abbott (he had a big hit in the 80s with 'shake you down') I can send you the MP3 of universal party and you can hear a sample of 'rhyme and reason' on the Amazon site |
