Techno keeps making new phone models for every OS update they make. i.e If you ever need to update your OS you must buy their latest phones.

Techno is just taking advantage of the Nigeria market, forcing consumers to buy their latest phones.

Anyway Nigerians are not IT savvy but poor man dey suffer sha.

You know say BBM don dey Techno now sha. And right now BBM dey use OS 10.2 and you know say them dey upgrade that thing anyhow like 10 times in a year self.

Make we assume say you too like BBM. Now Techno don do new phone wey fit power BBM OS 10.2 and you rush go buy am. Just imagine say BBM come upgrade from 10.2 to 10.3. Na him be say your Techno don useless, BBM no go fit work for your phone again. So you must buy new Techno to fit enjoy BBM again.

Now imagine say you come go buy new Techno again and before you know BBM don upgrade from 10.3 to 10.4, that new one now don useless again . Na so u go dey buy new Techno oo, before you know it you don buy plenty Techno wey fit buy 3 Samsung within 1 year.

So you see, them just dey force people to buy their new phone just because say you wan update your OS oo. As I dey talk to you so, some people no fit use BBM For their Techno, now them go run go buy this new one and before you know it, it go useless again.

So my advice be say, forget the cheap thing. Kuku save when your money reach buy small Android, iOS or BlackBerry wey get OTA.

alabo1: How is IGb on a phablet terribly low. Like there are 3GB and 4GB phones/phablets? only the flagships of even the market leaders have 2GB. Heck even the Galaxy mega with shipped with 1.5GB. From experience an extra ram capacity does not always translate to faster performance.I have an LG Optimus VU2 with 2GB RAM and I have compared it with my Tecno Phantom N9 with 1GB and there is no difference in app opening/loading etc. The LG just has a better feel due to its UI and sharper screen but in terms of speed they are on a par. Until we have 3GB and above specs 1GB cannot be called too low.

Thanks for clarifying the simpleton. OTA upgrade and app android are two different things. BBM app THAT "Proff" was taking about for example works on android 4.0 and above so even if BBM upgrades the app it will still work on devices with 4.o and above. u will just need to upgrade to the new version.

E3 came with update and and its in chinese(totally useless to non asians),micro max canvass has also anoda india inscription!..u keep spewing out ota like sey na food,when last u see ota for s3 s4 htc one and xiaomi(even though there will be in future)..lets bone dis talks.if a fone is made well.u cnt neccesarily need ota(except os upgrades) for anything!..haba oppo find 5 and xiaomi mi2a havnt gotten any update yet too.nawa
