Why would I have applied for an opening that wouldn't suit me? If they are still hiring, then they should go ahead and apply. I only wanted to share the info I thought was current. No need to sound patronizing.

Annais Dear, i will encourage you to try again. Maybe this time you should visit their office yourself. Who knows you might get lucky this time.
Perhaps, they just haven't called for auditioning yet. Then make sure the person who takes your resume acknowledges it. That will keep you on a safer side.
