5. BBM8 will eventually crash you Blackberry device without any solution like it did to my Touch 2 (so painful).

Solution?

Don’t stress yourself wiping your BlackBerry device nor wasting your time and money giving your device to an engineer to format.

Please tell them o!! I had a curve 6 and got BBM 8 on my Curve 6 and it worked just fine. Now that I have a BB10 device it works even better! So please and please if you know you want to keep up with the trends in technology go and upgrade the OS of your BlackBerry Device and stop spreading rumours you can't back up!!!

It's not good to peddle false information that is not substantiated. Bbm8 works perfectly well on OS 7.1 and above.

slows down a slow phone....hmmmm.....I can just imagine the black "I am loading icon"....sitting there for hours........anyways petro, firewood and matches.....would do the trick faster than having to dig a six-foot hole for your phone

Tanks a lot I just downgraded to my older version, I think they still have a lot to do in d new version, I feel its going to be cool though.

@ OP is very correct. I updated yesterday and believe me I'm not enjoying it one bit. Consumes too much memory. Drains bat3, faster hangs a lot. Not recommended for OS6. Maybe if u r using OS7 and above lucky u.

I think we should just stop the haggling. While BBM 8 will download on any blackberry device it will only run efficiently on recent OS such as 7 and OS 10. (its perfect on 10.2). If your device is old please upgrade and stop making yaga yaga sound.
