Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Akinwumi
Adesina. Akinwumi's bold reforms in
Agriculture propelled him to the top, beating four other finalists. In the run
up for the award were Aliko Dangote
of Dangote Group, Jim Ovia chairman
of the Zenith Bank Group, Strive
Masiyiwa, founder of global telecoms
group Econet Wireless in Zimbabwe and South African mining magnate,
Patrice Motsepe. Meanwhile, The
Forbes Africa life time award went to
Dr Manu Chandaria.
