After being launched in 13 countries on Friday, the Xbox one has come to surpass records and to set a record that will remain relevant as long as possible. Many stores across the UK opened at midnight just to sell the console and unsurprisingly, it was sold out.
After the release of Xbox 360 in 2005, the Xbox is the first to go on sales after then. The 429,99 pounds console has an improved Kinect sensor.
Xbox One Sets RecordMicrosoft statisticians also added the quirky estimate that in the first day of game play, fans killed more than 60 million zombies in Dead Rising 3 and drove more than 3.6 million miles on Forza Motorsport 5.
These two games are just a couple of the 22 titles currently available to play on the gadgets and more are expected to be released over the coming months.


“We are humbled and grateful for the excitement of Xbox fans around the world,” said Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice president of marketing and strategy for Xbox. “Seeing thousands of excited fans lined up to get their Xbox One and their love for gaming was truly a special moment for everyone on the Xbox team. We are working hard to create more Xbox One consoles and look forward to fulfilling holiday gift wishes this season.”
However, some individuals have expressed their frustrations; some complain that the console’s disc drive is being broken and there is an emitting loud grinding noise when a Blu-RAY is inserted.
Microsoft has come out to publicly address the challenge by saying “We’re working directly with those affected to get a replacement console to them as soon as possible through our advance exchange program. Rest assured, we are taking care of our customers.”
In anticipation of this high overwhelming demand, Microsoft says that “We are working to replenish stock as fast as possible to meet the unprecedented demand from our customers.”
Microsoft statisticians estimate that the owners of the new console have already dispatched more than 60m zombies, driven 3.6m miles and earned 43m fit points as they explore some of the 22 titles available at launch.
