Me no want make we dey watch these tournaments for free to air tv, else we no go win the cup, make una check am out now, Afcon, we gree pay caf and we still win the cup, U17 too, we go win the cup, abeg Bon make una no show am for free to air so that we go win the cup again.

They'll sell advert slots at premium prices. The advertiser won't mind paying because he knows that he'll reach a huge market.

OSMI usually allows BON stations to broadcast the matches for free on the condition that they broadcast all adverts from OSMI.

Yeah, I know. I was saying that OSMI may still decide to collect some extra 'change' from the mobile broadcasters. Who knows if there will be enough premium advertisers next year.

Nigerians are lucky sha, with the option of viewing the world cup on both terrestrial and pay tv. In the UK, the tourney can only be watched on terrestrial tv because the British govt places the final tournament of both the world cup and the European championship on a 'protected list'.
