Cold blooded: Is it me or ma imagination that refuses to believe that this picture is the real pic? Why is everybody wearing cardigans and jackets as if they were in a temperate region? I expect to see a dirty farmer but what am seeing here is different Ekiti state is cold with little sun shine through the year. During my service year it was not funny. Omuo London as is fondly called. |

50calibre: That's one big python, impressive length but lacking in girth. You are right definitely still a young one, but very adventurous, thick-bodied pythons are the reticulated pythons of Asia, this specie, African Rock Python can be massive when older because as a rule pythons grow with age. |

we definitely have a long way to go in Nigeria. It's not surprising our attitude towards stuff like this which is really archaic; considering that these animals also have a role to play in the ecosystem and all. Some people even refer to snakes as devils (that's beyond funny lmaooo) anyway, in my opinion, i think education would go a long way in improving our human capital (which is simply skills that many Nigerians would have) and would make people more aware that snakes are not as superstitious as we tag them to be. No doubt some are poisonous, but i'd rather you not kill a snake that you find in the bush because it has not trespassed in your space (unless of course it's eating your domestic animals repeatedly). It's just surviving like every other animal (including humans) especially a constrictor/python whatever specie it is. We actually need more education for our populace in nigeria as that would go a long way in enlightening people and reduce poverty ans well as improve our mentality about so many things....smh 1 Like |
