in response to ur question: is it really fast as starcomms claim? i wud say yes. they promise an average speed of 300-600kbps which translates to 37.5-75 KB/s of transfer speed which is wot i get on my connection @ peak periods and over dat @ off peak period (up 2 125KB/s which is equal to 1mbps)here @ ikotun on 3 bars of evdo signal. im not saying it is perfect tho. they av der downtime wich cud b even wen u least expect it but on d average i wud say im getting value for money.

Re: Starcomms Izap - Is It Really Fast As Starcomms Claim? by abionaalli(m): 4:50pm On Sep 16, 2008
by and by its not as fast as they claim. compared to developed countries starcomms and other isps are robbing us blind. i'm not sure i remember correctly but in japan, they pay 90dollars a month for a 100mbps connection. with that kind of connection, you will stream 12 dvd quality videos at the same time without buffering or breaks. and the 90 dollars is considerably less than the 16k you'll be paying starcomms monthly.

@ Dual Core,

I asked you before and am asking you again, how do i get a connection like yours including cost. Step by step process and the signal bars you are getting. Also, could you please help with a serial key for IDM or where to get a crack version. Holla back.

@samir101ng. You don't need to take any other step other than to step into a starcomms shop and get yourself an izap package. within the evdo coverage you get that kind of speed. Period.

after a month of flirting with MTN 3.5G, i am back to my Starcomms.
Reasons:
1) MTN 3.5G speed no better than Starcomms EvDO.
2) Starcomms gives a robust connection.
3)and ofcourse as you all know, no download limit!
4) customer service: very good. in my own experience o!
more reasons later.
