I think it's a function of what u really want to use ur lappy for, e.g documentations, graphics, gaming, surfing, video/photo work, etc.

However, I use elitebook 6930p and it's never been a dull moment. D lappy is strong, durable & dependable. I enjoyed d use of d unique inbuilt FireWire port, card reader, SIM card slot, fingerprint, led backlight.

I must confess I don't much about d compaq spec but I think u can google it & can even compare them side by side.

I know u can always get good price @ computer village if u r in Lagos. I got mine mine frm there @ abt 55k: my config is Intel 3.5ghz, 320gb, 4gb wt all d mentIoned features including fingerprint & wifi.

Of course, lesser spec wil be of cheaper price, say 2.5 - 3.0ghz, 120gb, 2gb, etc. Some 'may' not have inbuilt Bluetooth, card reader, etc. in this case, u may still get good build btw 35 - 40k.

On d battery, average battery life is 2-3hrs. Some sincere sellers will give u guarantee on dis, if they r too sure of there product. That is also why ur buying point must not be too far frm ur location, esp if u r buying 'direct uk used' (aka Belgium) should u need 2 register a complaint. Note it that even some brand new lap pies do come wt factory faults: and if it under warranty u r 100% cover.

Do not hesitate 2 make further enquiries on dis & it is also good to seek 2nd opinion: lappy isn't what u buy or change every month. N.B: I am not a computer expert neither am I an authority o cos there are real gurus on dis forum .... BUT I'm enjoying my lappy.

the sim enabling card is labelled wwan, while ur regular wifi card is labelled wlan, it means u should have two cards installed on ur laptop. if the card is present, u download hp connection manager software

1. Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Ntwk)
2. Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)
3. Intel (R) 82567LM Gigabit Ntwk Connection
4. Intel (R) WiFi Link 5300 AGN
