....................................MATCH PREVIEW...............................

Arsenal will hope to take pound of flesh against the opening day defeat to Aston Vila at Vila Park.
Christian Benteke scored twice and Antonio Luna added a third as Aston Villa came from behind to stun Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on the opening day on August 17,2013.
Olivier Giroud opened the scoring, but Benteke headed an equaliser after Wojciech Szczesny saved his penalty.
Benteke controversially put Villa ahead from the spot after a foul by Laurent Koscielny, who was later shown a second yellow card for a mistimed challenge.
New signing Luna raced clear to seal Arsenal's woe with a low strike. The full-time whistle was greeted with resounding boos from the home crowd, although the arena was near-empty by that point.
Things have changed considerably since with Arsenal topping the EPL table with 45 points from 20 games; winning 14 games, drawing 3 and loosing 3 games;with loss to the Manchester clubs added to the loss on the opening day.
The latest won match was against Cardiff City with late two goals from Bendtner and Theo Walcott.
Theo Walcott will not play any further part this season, after tearing is ligament and has been ruled out for at least six months;which means he will miss Bazil2014.
A win against Aston Villa will keep Arsenal at the summit of the table; at least with a point, depending on other results from week 21 of EPL matches involving Manchester City and Chelsea.

In the Premier League, Arsenal next face Aston Villa at Villa Park, with memories of their opening day clash which saw the Midlands side run out 3-1 winners.

After the shock defeat, few could have predicted the Gunners would be top of the table ever since, but the two clubs now meet with Arsenal big favourites to get revenge on the side – with Wenger’s men 8/15 to emerge victorious.

With Aston Villa having been eliminated from the FA Cup third round at the hands of League One Sheffield United, Arsenal will certainly back themselves to win their fourth Premier League game on the bounce when the two sides meet.

Arsenal’s resolute defence has been praised on many occasions as the Londoners have conceded just one goal from their previous four outings. Aston Villa’s home form suggests their miserable run at Villa Park could well continue – with Paul Lambert’s side winning just once at home in 10 attempts.

Considering Arsenal’s tight defence, grabbing a clean sheet against a Villa side lacking in goals is very likely. The Gunners are 15/2 to win 2-0 against their league compatriots which would see them keep their top spot 21 games into the season
