First off the The prefix 'ABTI' has been removed since 2008. I would never understand why people still call it that. Its probably the same reason we still refer to 'PHCN' as 'NEPA'.
The American University of Nigeria (AUN) is the most expensive in Nigeria. Depending on your feeding and accommodation, in addition to the tuition, the lowest you can pay is N1.3M per semester . It can get as high as N2.1M. So that's about N2.6M to N4.2M per year . The only exception is if you are on full or partial Scholarship.

You can decide to stay in a room with 1 other person, 2 other persons or 3 other persons. You can also decide to eat once, twice or thrice a day. Na your money kill am.
The accomodation and feeding are the variable costs.
The tuition is the same for everyone whether you're studying Communication and Multimedia Design, Software Engineering or Information Systems.

It is worth every kobo though. Trust me, I know.

Also Parents don't have to pay in Dollars except you're paying from outside Nigeria.

But in the end, everyone fights for the same jobs soooo..

I finished from UNIZIK in 2001, all my school fees was 8,500 Naira from year one to final year. That is 2,000 Naira per year. I thank God we didnt join other schools to go on their regular strikes. I dont know how my alma mater is doing now.

I thank God for private universities for uplifting the standard of education in the country. You may say its for the rich, so who stops you from becoming rich? We shouldn't weaken the strong, in an attempt to strengthen the weak.

You made a mistake: For ABTI (AUN, Yola), the quoted fee is per semester. There are two semesters per annum which comes out to 3 million naira per annum.

Guess am the unlucky one. Mariam is at halikma, fees was a lil bit shy of 410k, now in her second year it's just a lil bit shy of 300. Ismail is at ABUAD, first session paid a total of a mill plus, lil Mariam is still at olashore and that was a few bucks short of 850k(na secondary school o) well and me am in the best most affordable private uni in naija PROUDLY UNILORIN. my german class mate refer me to this section and i need to chip in that its a big shame on nigerian leaders and some religion leaders.how will the common man benefit from govt if not through education.all sector of the economy is destroy to make there private investment(university,generator importing companies) viable.

its totally absurd that some europeans see us as a true giant of africa,beleive me its a total fallacy.some religion leader get all this resource to build school from church/mosque(tithe,offering,donational) only for them to turn it into money venture without considering the common man/woman in the church all in the name of religion.my people please open your eyes.how many people can afford all these outragious school fees?when ever they have headache,backpain,dysfunction manhood they run to germany,why cant they provide standard medical facility in our country with our resources?

In conclusion,there are only 2 universites in Nigeria......University of Lagos and others......Unilag,the nation's pride.....Unilag,always account for over 25% of candidates seeking admission into all the university every year!

Your alma mater is doing okay except that some mumulistic lecturers had to force the school into their first ever strike in history! Apart from that,,we are ok.School fees is #20,100 per session and we are enjoying our lives here. Proudly ZIKITE!!!
