Had Mandela Been A Nigerian...... by IYANGBALI: 12:46am On Dec 22, 2013
I am beginning to think South Africans are not creative! Had Mandela been a Nigerian;1. The corpse would have stayed in mortuary for up to five years to enable government prepare for a befitting burial. 2. Government would have set up a planning committee with power to award contracts to construct new roads leading to Mandela's home town. Construction of new airports, new stadium for burial reception. 3. The body would have been flown round the 36 states of the federation including the FCT. 4.There would have been national aso~ebi (uniforms)imported from holland, it would have been made compulsory for every Nigerian to buy,sew and wear. 5. New slangs would have emerged, for instance Yoruba greetings would have been "e ku Madiba o", "e ku iku Mandela". 6.Our telephone networks would have produced new caller tunes e.g to hear Mandela's last breath press 1. To hear the last word he spoke press 2, to see the undies he wore on the day he died, press 3, to see his dead body, press 4,to go to South Africa for his burial, press 5, to be buried with him pls press 6, E.t.c. 7. New products would have emerged e.g Madiba zobo drink. Madiba pure water, Madiba magic soap/cream. 8. Our musicians? Aaaah 5 albums daily to praise the icon.9. New born babies will be called Mandela, Babatunde Madiba, Chukwumadiba, Sulemadiba•
