During Obasanjo's era,he chose festive periods such as Christmas,Easter and Sallah to either increase the price of fuel or create an artificial scarcity in order to force Nigerians to embrace subsidy removals.

President Goodluck Jonathan in 2012 succeeded in partially removing fuel subsidy in spite of monumental opposition. Subsidy fraudsters are being prosecuted.

Since January 2012 till date,Nigeria has not experienced any major fuel scarcity, except for those induced by oil workers and tanker drivers strike.

Today is Christmas eve,and there's abundant fuel in almost every Nigerian city, including Maiduguri,Damaturu and Yola where the threat of Boko Haram remains real.

Who says GEJ is not working? Say the truth and let the devil (and APC) be ashamed. grin grin grin

I can recall vividly that during OBJ's time, he was both President and Minister of Petroleum resources yet there was fuel scarcity. But right now, fuel is EVERYWHERE. So, who will say that GEJ is not working? Only politicians will say so because they want to pull GEJ down.

Nigerians, BE WISE.

If you feign selective amnesia because of your hatred for GEJ, the rest of us cannot forget the agonies and pains of fuel scarcity in the days of both OBJ and Yar Adua. Many people had to sleep at filling stations and pay much more, including giving bribes at filling stations, just to BUY petrol. Some unfortunate ones got their vehicles smashed as they struggle with long queues at filling stations. Houses were burnt, lives and properties were destroyed as some people tried to hoard fuel just to overcome the menace of fuel scarcity.

The situation in the southeast and southsouth was more pathetic. The people of that region NEVER bought fuel at the same price it was sold in Lagos and Abuja. We had to pay more, sometimes as much as N20 or more entra per litre of fuel.

During Obasanjo's tenure, who are you to drive into a filling station and fill up your tank without going through a long queue?

I first observed this during December 2010 when Jonathan was the acting president. Obasanjo should be haunted by EFCC for looting this nation dry of its oil revenue.

Nigerians had never had it so good since the Babangida era. GEJ is busy delivering dividends and reingineering his political framework. APC and haters are busy jostling from one school playground to sundry media houses. 2015 is waiting. Come next year, the cryatal will be clearer. We shall know who greases the Engines.

Atleast you agree he his doing well, that's enough for me, as voting him or not, that's your power over our politicians, use it well so that you keep comending a president that keeps solving problems for you.

I'm not impressed considering the fact that GEJ is responsible for the single largest increase in fuel prices in Nigerian History.
