In the course of many political debates, I see fake analysts making reference to how the North is against GEJ. It really makes me laugh. It is either these fake analysts have their heads in the sand or are extremely naive. The north right now is far more divided than the south. The north is divided both along religious lines and ethnic lines. Many minority northerners are completely fed up to the teeth with the shenanigans of the "born-to-rule" click. Just look at the response from the OBJ letter to see a clear divide in the North. This will clearly play out in 2015. GEJ will only have low votes in the core Northern states, just like he did in 2011, because of religious bias. Interestingly, these include all the states of the G7 crew. So GEJ's votes wont change much in 2015, from what it was in 2011. Even the Northern governors forum is completely in disarray. As for Amaechi, he could not even fill a little stadium a few days ago. The stands were all empty. Most people who will go for his rally in PH will just be going to have fun, not because they will vote against GEJ in 2015. The south west will be clearly divided in 2015 and GEJ will still have majority votes. APC has lost credibility in many south west states, especially Lagos and Ekiti. APC has even lost the little momentum they were building with their wooing of expired PDP goons like OBJ and IBB. 5 Likes |

Will this dolts save us his balderdash, am currently working on a project taking me through abuja and Kaduna almost on a daily basis. And I talk politics with locals here they are so unanimous with there anti gej stance. Northerners are so passionate about politics imagine them discuss politics on a 2 hours journey non stop daily. The problem is Islam and 55 percent of northerners are moslems who have been brainwashed and told not to allow christians lead then, that is why u see them killing most igbos in the north who might stay back in 2015 to vote GEJ. |

The op does not even understand how elections are won. What wins an election is the political structure on ground.constitutionally,GEJ has the right to recontest,but it is morally wrong 4 him to do so.If he insists,he wud only end up destroying PDP. G34 and PDM came 2gether to form PDP in 1998 with a view to ensuring presidency is rotated btw North and South in 8yrs each.OBJ 4rm south spent the first 8yrs,wen it was turn of North to spend their own 8yrs, yaradua had not spent up to 3yrs b4 he died,GEJ (from south) completed that term and wud hav completed another 4yrs by 2015.To me,almost 6yrs is enough to contribute to national development.I advise him not to seek 4 re-election.in 2015,GEJ wud win the following northern states: kogi,plateau,benue and taraba.the rest 15 northern states wud be won by APC. In the SS,votes in rivers and edo are going to be shared by APC and PDP. In the south west,GEJ wud win ondo and a reasonable number of votes in lagos,while APC wud win the rest 4 overwhemingly.in the SE,GEJ wud win 4 out 5 states while imo is going to be shared.Going by this analysis, GEJ may likely lose the election unless he influences the electoral process. 1 Like |

when it comes to election they call it one north, but when it comes to presenting presidential candidate it is only for those from the core north,who is fooling who ?the north will not anylonger vote with one voice,it happened in 2011,just few days ago a fulani friend of mine was telling me of how he nearly lost his life for casting his vote for cpc in the last general election[the polling unit where it happened was in benue state],so come 2015 the benue,plateau people will still vote for pdp,those days of one north is but history now. |

Today....The North is divided and would vote on Xtain/Muslim divide. Tomorrow.. South West is divided along Xtain/Muslim divide. But they want us to believe that the SS & SE will vote GEJ because they are monolithic in religion. I have never seen people that are shamelessly fanatic as these people...they have nothing on performance to thump up....but only the religion...tribal divide game. |

ilugunboy: You talk as if other regions are monolithic when they are not. The south west will never vote in block because the south west is multi ethnic. The yorubas in the south west will not also vote in block because they are divided and have always been. The only time Yorubas vote in block is when the presidential candidate is Yoruba. That is the fact, no matter how much noise you make. The south east are normally not very monolithic politically, but in GEJ, they have for the first time found a common ground. That may even change after GEJ. The middle belt have pulled out of the alliance with the core north. They are completely opposed to hausa/fulani dominance. Always observe that those who say the north is united against GEJ are always hausa/fulani or muslims. Some of you make me laugh when you claim some of us are trying to divide Nigeria along religious lines. What a big joke. Nigeria has always been divided along religious lines from independence and nothing has changed. Isnt the G7 agitation along ethnic and religious lines?
