My producer is based in NYC but I'm negotiating on his behalf in Lagos, I'm hoding out for N350k per song for 2 songs and the singer is complaining despite the fact that he drives a range rover sport.

I don't see why a music producer can't write or publish his charges. Footballers publish their weekly earnings, so no big deal.
350k is fair if your guy is good, and in 9ja there's little structure, so yea, I'd charge that too if I were producing a banging track, but not less than 100-150k, that's just me, for such an artiste.
But if its an upcoming artiste, u can charge less, cus of lesser budget. So it varies.
Also, if it becomes a hit, most artistes won't pay u on the back end or royalties, like Iyanya did to D-tunes. So get your money while u can or sign a deal. That's my take on it.
