1. Work on communication
Communication is one of the most important things
in any relationship and it definitely should be a key in
your relationship. If you are having a hard time
communicating with your partner, it could be a time
for both of you to work on that communication. In
addition, a good communication may help your
relationship in the long run.


2. Spend more time with your partner
This is probably one of the biggest New Year’s
resolutions you should make this year. Finding more
free time for your relationship is really hard but it’s
very important. Whether you have the busy
schedules or you are busy with your kids, make sure
to find some time to spend with your partner. Trust
me, it will make all of the difference in your
relationship!



3. Try not to fight
I agree that fighting happens in every relationship,
but it doesn’t mean that you should fight about
everything. There must be a convincing reason for
fighting. That’s why you and your partner should
learn ways not to fight by every trifle. In 2014, try to
discuss things instead of fighting them out.


4. Praise, compliment and admire
I can honestly say that I don’t compliment and praise
enough. That’s why it’s my main New Year’s
resolution for next year. If you’re like me don’t praise,
compliment and admire your partner you should
learn how to do this. In fact, every couple should
compliment each other and celebrate small wins
together. Your relationship must be fun and you need
always praise each other!


5. Say “I love you” more often
This is another important New Year’s resolution! If
you have been in a relationship for a long time, it’s
not a reason to stop saying your partner that you
love him/her. So next year make a New Year’s
resolution and say each other “I love you” more
often. It’s a perfect way to let your partner know that
you still love him/her. It will definitely make the large
difference in your relationship!



6. Stay present
If you have been in a relationship for a long time, it’s
really difficult to stay present and sometimes it’s
hard not to drift away. So if you find yourself being
distant with your partner, it’s time to make the New
Year’s resolution that both of you stay present this
year. Besides, it is not a healthy relationship if you’re
constantly feeling alone and distant, right?


7. Make time to make love
That is another New Year’s resolution every couple
should make! Sex doesn’t have to be scheduled, but
you should always make time for it. Why not to make
love time a priority this year? It will help you feel
more connected to your partner and it’s also an
awesome stress reliever!


8. Do good things for one another
It can be bringing your partner a breakfast in bed or
simply washing a car, just make sure that you are
doing good things for your partner. It also means that
your partner should also be doing good things for
you. Doing some casual acts of kindness for each
other is a great thing, especially if you have been
together for a long time!
As you see finding the right New Year’s resolutions to
make with your partner is not as hard as you think.
You just need find those resolutions, which works for

Nice write up. But to be sincere its not easy to do all, esp no 2. These days ppl hardly hav time for themselves talk more of others, but i think we need Gods grace to keep all dts listed here. I pray dt all couples wil do d ones they've not been doin and improve on those they've been doin. Amen

I don't normally click on Andyblaze's thread, but something just pushed me to click this and i was wowed at what i saw, couldn't believe my eyes, went back to check the op again, and it remains the same, thank you Andy for giving me pleasant surprise this new year, this is a good sign that i'm going to have uncountable pleasant surprises this year and beyond.

Andy, keep it up, this is the type of thread we want in Family section, as you know, it's a family place, we usualy want something that will help our families positively like this.
