SLt courses are very good courses but the issues of nysc is like a mountain to be surmounted

in polytechnics we have no problem going for service. hi everyone, i'm MrKen and i finished from imo state polytechnic in 2008. i suggest anyone finishing soon should try to arm himself with adequate practical experience, because an employer who's convinced you can fill up a vacant post easily wont have problem giving you a chance. i did the Biochemistry option. where i work the Lab Manager is one of us, and she did the Microbiology option. we can actually build decent careers if we work hard

ok you mean you work in a medical laboratory thats cool, do they require licence to pratice?

i was inducted early last year...we were given licence to practice amd as well inducted into the professional body..
the issue here is that,universities took up this great course and thay are not running it the way it suppose...but most universities are now running it in full time basis and gotten accredited by NUC...
the fate of some previous sets is unknown regarding NYSC dispatch or exemption letter

Most universities running these courses, run the way they like, not duely accredited by NUC. Schools like Lautech and uniport are doing very fine. SLT petroleum engineering has been introduced and accredited in Uniport. Other schools need to stop their corruption and do the right thing o

The corruption and wickedness in SLT Unijos is just unbearable. Even after being regularized and given jamb numbers, the school management is still insisting we will not go for youth service. We have met and consulted with nysc officials and they confirmed that we are eligible for mobilization. The course has been accredited but the school management out of wickedness and corruption are depriving us of nysc. Can u imagine We were inducted last year by NISLT on the week that batch C camp started. Many of us have missed job opportunities because we have not served. It's just frustrating. We need to be rescued from this mess.
