OOU SUG NEWS UPDATE!
We feel your pains because we are also affected. A wide
consultation is ongoing. These and many more were the
responses given to concerned Students at the Union
Secretariat, this morning.
The Students Union Government of Olabisi Onabanjo
University, received as guest, quite a number of students
at the Secretariat, to tender some of their demands
which includes as importantly, reduction in Tuition fees.
President of the Students Union, Ifade Olusegun made
known to Students present, that his administration will
never disappoint nor relent in its effort at championing
Students course. He used the platform to brief the
Students on the various steps already taken in order to
ensure among other demands, a reduction in tuition fees,
even as it is known from facts that OOU remains the
only tertiary institution in Ogun State paying such a huge
amount for tuition fees.
Before now, concerned students should be informed that
the Students Union has met about twice, with the
Academic Staff Union of the University. As regards this
same issue, a letter has been forwarded to the Office of
the Governor through the Commissioner for Education in
the State. Other necessary quarters have been consulted
as well, so as to build a valid and arguable premise,
should we opt for a massive protest.
On the looming issue of OP MESSA, I want to assure the
entire Oouites that a reversal of the situation is
gradually effected, as the Students Union has already
informed the School Management about our displeasure
with the inhumane harassment on our Students. Same
complaint has also been registered with the Ebumawe of
Ago Iwoye and we have been promised to see a change
in such acts.
Meanwhile, Returning Students yet to pay their tuition
fees are advised to do so, without purposefully delaying
the process with the expectation of a reduction. Please
note that it is safer to make the payment now, and
should their be any reduction, a refund will be
unavoidable.

All aspirants can now go about their regisration online..make sure u come along with your ssce and jamb results wen coming with passport or u could make use of ur device to do that..one kobo

Please all aspirants should be informed that those who are yet to have their results and would be using awaiting result are eligible to purchase the form provided such results would be available during registration. Moreso, it should be noted that there are some courses where some core subjects are needed before u can be offered admission in such department otherwise such students would be moved to other departments where such results match..for MASS COMM a credit in Literature and MATHEMATICS are required(atleast C6)..for ACCOUNTING, BANKING and FINANCE, ECONOMICS(economics is required)..for PSYCHOLOGY biology is important, no biology no psychology...POLITICAL SCIENCE, government is compulsory..GEOGRAPHY and REGIONAL PLANNING, geography is needed..a pass in mathematics is accepted to study PHILOSOPHY, HDS, ENGLISH(but literatur is compulsory), PERFORMING ARTS, YORUBA, FRENCH..for SOCIOLOGY, ILR any FIVE social science subjects including maths and english..for BUS ADMIN as In accounting..but government may be accepted in lieu of economics..gudluck!
