Agreed! As a matter of fact av been able to boot my itel_it1502 to recovery severaly and very easily too, just follow the button combo. hold power key first, then volume down, realease immediately itel logo appears then press volume up to enter recovery.
The only issue is changing of imei even spd tool and droidtool proved abbortive.

Hi! Maybe you can try to restore factory settings first, but remember to back up important files. If the problem still exists, you can take your phone to our Carlcare Service Center and ask our colleagues to check it for you. Hi guys....This is the solution I got.

My nephew had the same problem (itel 1353). I used the combination of the volume buttons + power button (as suggested in the thread). I did this several times, all I kept getting was the same as what the guys here got....different option list without reset option, exclamation mark in a triangle on top of a phone, but the Google password block was still there. So I went online to research and someone suggested changing the Google account details online. So I opened Gmail on my tab, I was lucky to guess all sorts of username (I had an idea, but not the exact name). I used the 'help' /forgotten password option (you can select forgotten username as well), followed the instructions and successfully changed the password. However, when I tried to log into the phone with the changed password, it won't allow me.
So I went online again and did more research, and I realised I needed to remove the old sim and insert a different sim that has data into the phone. I logged in, and the phone opened telling me to draw a new pattern. Note: the phone was back to factory setting (I think all the volume + power button combinations had actually reset the phone).

Just wipe the data, just like factory reset and see Ur fone become new again. Just did mine to enable me change my imei. Worked with me

ITEL is not as complicated as we think, i found a solution to unlocking it

1. Please power button first and before anything appears on the screen press and hold both VOL UP +VOL DOWN,
There you will enter into recovery mode (This is different from SAFE MODE which appears if you press VOL DWN+ power)
2. From this point the process is normal for anyone who has done a reset else scroll using VOL DOWN through the options and select WIPE using power button, Confirm and you're done

Not all spreadtrum devices like itel have a recovery mode that you can just select factory reset from its menu. Most of these devices can only be factory set using a tool like gpg dragon or if you have the pac file of that device.
For the imei stuff on spreadtrum devices like itel, you will need to use Chinese Miracle SPD IMEI tool

i just rest mind now, press the +vol then power and inote logo will show, then press the +vol again u r there. glade i did it

Hi, I have an itel phone here which doesn't show contacts- Might show for few mins, then it goes. Now it isn't showing at all. Av tried down loading Contacts app, but it didn't work either. All the call log, missed call, received.. All will jxt be blank .
Anybdy with similar issue or solutions?

yea thats the problem itel is having mind is same issue, all u need do is throw it out of the window and get a new 1 or u manage it for some time

That's the problem with itel, am facing the same issue here. Contacts sometimes disappears and reappears. Very soon I will sell mine. The point they are not good at producing android phones, maybe they should stick to their java phones.

So when you add someone in your Whatsapp using the same name(or has the same number) as it in your phone contacts, Whatsapp might have automatically deleted one of them. And if the phone was not connected to network, the contacts will reappear.You can test your phone to see whether it's this kind of problem. If not, you can take your phone, along with your receipt or warranty card, to our Carlcare Service Center, and ask our colleagues to check it for you.
