I was just thinking , yesterday. i was quite stressed and angry and i felt like playing Syphon Filter. i realised it was because i wanted to just start shooting people  and prolly my stress would disappear. Anyways, so i asked myself why do we play games, for entertainment, to relieve stress, to best someoneelse  ?WHY? |

@ gamine Hmmmmm. I think i av an idea of where dis topic was borne from.  My lips r sealed though.  @ topic For me, its two out of the three you highlighted. To releive stress and to best someone else. I've discovered that when i'm pretty stressed out or in a dark wierd place  where no one can reach me, the only thing that consoles me is a console. Ahhh, what life would be like without the luxury of an excape route. In my case most times, a video game. It'll be less interestin thats for sure.  |

I havent seen a playable game console in three months. Sometimes i just feel like aaargh! I like playing games that i cant depict in real life, ya know. Yesterday i felt like killing some people around, i was so worked up about some things if i played a shoot em up, it would hv given me the satisfaction  |

I play games cuz I've been playing em since I was like 2. Cuz it occupies me on my journeys during the day. Cuz it's fun, duH! But I aint never done it cuz i'm angry. |

becuz it relieves stress, and you have a good time pulling off moves you couldn't do in real life as for the syphon filter - i wasn't a fan until i got the PSP version. the rest is history Gamine: If syphon filter does it for you, what would you think of people who use god of war?point: you stress strong sha |

Usually game for fun and competition. I love playing Pro Evo soccer, but i hate playing it alone. when i'm with company, then it's pretty cool. My best moment was flogging one Chinese guy in PES 6 at a demo kiosk in HMV. My first time ever with PES 6 for that matter, and i had to battle with the clumsy 360 pad. So yeah, it's mostly the thrill of besting someone else. That explains why my Devil May Cry 4 and GTA 4 are still unopened in my house. |
