Hey guys has anyone thought of actually creating a nigerian made cartoon/animation? Considering that Nollywood is so successful is it possible to leverage that success and create a naija animation. I wanna know what people think!

I'm into animations, well bacically 2D, Im bout to get my graphics tablet and then get into some serious animation, commercially!

Garuba if you can get a story that can go international and still fit into our culture then there are so many people out there i mean nigerians that will be ready to do the animation 2d or 3d.

zpixel, are you absolutely sure about this.

I mean- can you name names.

I dont think i draw,but am use to playing with my pencil when i am less busy

I was talking about people who actually have the resources to make it happen. There are enthusiasts everywhere- heck I am surrounded by them- but what I mean is people who are already in the industry, with the clout and resources to make it something more than an ugly indie-ish effort.

dakmanzero, you right, am also surrounded by enthusiasts. But if you are serious about this industry thing, i do 3d and am quiet good at modeling, texturing and a bit of lighting. I mean enough skills to fit in the industry.

Hi. i actually have  an HND in Cartooning and illustration and ive been seriously thinking about going commercial with my comic ideas. im currently working on something really original for the nigerian market.
