Forget Veiria, he cannot produce MOTM performances every week. we know players who shine at world cup but can't do anything after: NICKY BUTT.

honestly, i feel Sol has one more season in him at the top.
What happened to the talk about Thuram?
Re: Strictly Arsenal by debosky(m): 11:38pm On Jul 03, 2006
thuram, kai that dude is past his prime, i don't think we need full backs, we need another strong central defender

thanks for the correction gunner wink
Re: Strictly Arsenal by GUNNER(f): 7:09am On Jul 04, 2006
Kein Problem grin

and i second that statement, we do need a good strong defender and quickly
i think that should be Arsene"s priority when he raids the transfer market! wink
Re: Strictly Arsenal by amodu(m): 11:37am On Jul 04, 2006
you can go for John Mensah of Ghana, the guy is fantastic.
Re: Strictly Arsenal by sirwebs(m): 12:20pm On Jul 04, 2006
John mensah is good but he dosen't meet up to the famous 'Wenger quality.'

I don't believe there is a crisis at the back. Sol is going nowhere unless Fernabache or whoever, brings good money. In that case it will be for business. Like the Vieira case. As the mafiosi will say, 'nothing personal, just business'.
Re: Strictly Arsenal by LoverBwoy(m): 4:08pm On Jul 04, 2006
debosky have a beer on me mate -for the MOTM n goals scored by arsenal player in the world cup with white sambuca grin
Re: Strictly Arsenal by lordimpaq(m): 4:43pm On Jul 04, 2006

Re: Strictly Arsenal by debosky(m): 6:29pm On Jul 04, 2006

cheers loveBwoy! cool
Re: Strictly Arsenal by alameda(m): 5:36pm On Jul 05, 2006
the only thing i heard was that wenger wanted to use sol and the arsenal cash to buy martins from inter but it was rejected.
But i beleive HE IS ALREADY GONE

Re: Strictly Arsenal by kitaun(m): 8:04pm On Jul 05, 2006

?
Re: Strictly Arsenal by debosky(m): 12:18am On Jul 06, 2006
i don't see it happening, we dont need another dutch prodigy right now, let robin continue his development,

we need someone like klose, a regular 20 goal a season dude to back henry up
Re: Strictly Arsenal by Grizzly(m): 12:26am On Jul 06, 2006

Re: Strictly Arsenal by debosky(m): 12:46am On Jul 06, 2006
we made like 42 m pounds in total last season getting to the CL final, we have the dough we need.

unlike chelsea we don't waste money buying 5 players hoping 2 will be good, we get the one and he is good.

Did you know that there are plenty of people who knows so much on sports here? Bagoma, NightRider, Jackal, Huca and all Blue in the house. Please get your facts right.

Here we go:

1) Arsenal make £42m for getting into final? That sounds impressive BUT PROVE IT SIR.

2) Is Francis Jeffers good at £10m?, What of Pennant? Cygan nko?

Here are the provisional figures for the champions league finalists from UEFA. You guys can do the conversions, math and argue based on accurate info.

2) Comparing Febregas and Ballack. God!
Michael is one of about 5 players in the world that can pass from Yaounde(Cameroun) to Ibadan(Nigeria) uninterupted.

um LB,

I think the espn figure is for all prize and tv money from all competitions not, the champs league alone. It clearly states "almost half of the income came from the champs league". Half not all.
Re: Strictly Arsenal by debosky(m): 7:23pm On Jul 06, 2006
seems y'all dont read the posts carefully, i said in total last season in fact i even under quoted, it was 52m

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=367555&cc=5901

no be only una know about football

how much chelsea pay for kezman, mutu, veron, etc?

all i'm sayin is, when we spend the big money on a player, it pays off, not trial and error like chelsea

Pardon my interpretation but including "getting to the CL final" in that statement implied u were referring to the champs league.

LB also made this comment
LoverBwoy:

hence, my last comment to him.
Re: Strictly Arsenal by debosky(m): 7:52pm On Jul 06, 2006

You've not answered me on Francis Jefers.

This guy shouldnt cost £3m.

The English media call him "Fox in the box" but Mr Wenger buy him for £10m.
Re: Strictly Arsenal by debosky(m): 9:18pm On Jul 06, 2006
on that jeffers matter, i would concede that Wenger is not infallible, he has also made some transfer market errors before

but in general, he is far more astute in his dealings in the market, getting as much bang for his buck as possible. compared

to other club managers.
Re: Strictly Arsenal by kitaun(m): 9:20pm On Jul 06, 2006
akola,
jeffers is now past tense as far as arsenal is concerned and pls this is strictly for arsenal
Re: Strictly Arsenal by mukina2: 9:53pm On Jul 06, 2006

Re: Strictly Arsenal by LoverBwoy(m): 5:29pm On Jul 07, 2006
