Hi nairalanders, I've been hearing about different talks on this issue, but i want you to help me out as i'm interested in opening a domiciliary account with GTB. I want to know if it is mandatory to first of all open a current account with Guaranteed Trust Bank before you are allowed to setup a domicilialry account. Thanks. |

From all the feedbacks on nairaland, this rule has been changed such that you can open your DOM account without current account or you can do open DOM&Current account at the same time. A lot of people have confirmed this. |

You don't need to open current account b4 you can open a dom. account in GTB |

u can open the two @ the same time. the requirements are the same. they will give u both dollar, euro, pounds, saving and the current account |

In GTB you don't need Current account before you can open domiciliary account, but I suspect some branches may want to open the two for you at the same time just to get customers for themselves, but the truth is that you can operate only domiciliary account in GTB without having any other accounts. |
