I heard Etisalat is planning to roll out deir data plan very soon and let's keep our fingers crossed and see what dey've got to offer. As far as I know,I've tried everything wid MTN and I've been let down severally,it's time to for a better option, |

nah we can't be talking about the same site 'cos i checked again, closed page, deleted cache and checked again still 15k/kb however i agree with you that mtn is a serious let down ion more than one occasion i activated the 1-day 24hr data plan and less than 6hrs later i cant seem to browse anymore, also i find out that the little credit remaining on the line has been used up fortunately i wasn't using my main line - men those guys can be very sneaky. Am just waiting to get another handset before i get my etisalat line |

i can't believe that i just did a welcome back on my etisalat sim.what happen?the sim is too fragile.it displays,"SIM CARD ABSENT" |
Re: Etisalat - Nigeria's 5th GSM Operator by zize: 9:08am On Jan 07, 2009 |
honsule: I think dats true, though i've not done a welcome back on my sim but my bro has done.I guess its because their sim card has more memory space dan d other networks sims,in addition, theY get damaged easily by all dese chinese phones wit dual sims, we all know dose phones r sub-standard, Since my brother changed his phone to a normal NOKIA hadset, his sim card has been working perfectly.Infact,I've never experienced a problem wid my ETISALAT sim since last yr because I use a normal Motorolla Handset. I believe it has to do wid the chinese phones and the memory space of their sims. |

About that 15kobo stuff, i think that rate only applies if you have subscribed to a data plan before, Example, i was sent a text saying "at the expiration of your data plan you will be charged 15kobo per blah, " |

Point of correction, Etislat doesn't have a 3G network mode. they couldn't configure Black Berry Internet Service on my Black Berry Storm. MTN did that ia giffy |
Re: Etisalat - Nigeria's 5th GSM Operator by zize: 1:33pm On Dec 17, 2009 |
AfricaFace: When i read comments lyk d one above on this forum, it makes me sick, How would anyone think the Blackberry storm, just like all other Blackberry devices can just browse the internet without u first subscribing for either the Blackberry Internet Service ( BIS) or the Blackberry Enterprise Service ( BES) with ur service provider @AfricaFace, I use my Etisalat Sim Card in my Blackberry storm (9500), and it's configured for browsing cos I subscribed for their BIS which costs N5,000 monthly( (in actual fact, I'm replying this ur comment wit the phone at the moment), so ur claim is un-founded. If u want to browse wit ur BB phone, go to their office, pay for the BIS, then wait and see if d phone doesnt browse. Make enquiries b4 u giv false info to nairalanders, |

hey peeps do u know that etislat dashes u 3mb to browse after loading #500 card? they also have different data plans: i found this out by dialing their customer care . #1000 for 100MB for 30days ; #3000 for 500MB for 30 days etc, what do u guys think? |
Re: Etisalat - Nigeria's 5th GSM Operator by oweniwe(m): 11:37am On Sep 11, 2010 |
^^ what do i think? I'm they're not like Mtn and Zain. Mtn de go AWOL too much. Zain na "push-me-i push- you". For both network, you go hit "reply" ten times before them answer. Glo's far better but they're expensive. Na etisalat wey some people de complain say e bad for them side na im you want make i de halla. Them no get 3G sef. I go look well before i leap. I no ready give myself heart attack coz of some people's incompetence |
